Hello, I’m Danielle and I’m excited to meet you! I am a licensed clinical social worker, and have been honored to provide compassionate and person-centered care to individuals for over 15 years. I would love to talk to you and find out how we can work together to find your wisest path. I like to think of therapy as walking a forest path together, where we get to look at who’s on this journey with you, turn over and examine what’s under the boulders in your way, and give your deepest self some air and light. Feel free to book for a first session to see if I might be a good fit for you. I look forward to getting to know you!
The first session is designed for us to get to know one another - I'll ask a number of questions to get to know you better and understand what you're looking for from therapy. I also like to make sure you have time and space in that first session to ask me any questions you feel are important about me and my therapy practice. At the end of the first session we'll get to decide together if it feels like a good fit and if we want to schedule more sessions. If it doesn't feel like a good fit I'll provide several referrals for you through the Grow network to help you find a better fit for you.
I am rooted in feminist, queer, and anti-oppression therapeutic frameworks, and will support you in understanding your place within all the different systems in your life. I see myself as a collaborator, not an “expert” and work to support the innate healing potential every beautiful and complicated human possesses.
I enjoy working with transitional age youth (ages 18-24), and those working through frequent worry, perfectionism, and anxiety.
I love DBT skills! Mindfulness and emotional regulation skills can form a great foundation for deeper emotional processing. I like to balance DBT skills work with creating space in sessions for emotional processing and using emotionally focused tools.
I have been trained but am not certified in this modality. I love EMDR because it borrows from so many other modalities I love including CBT, DBT, somatic therapy, exposure, etc.
