What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our initial meeting will be a consultation, which can be via phone or video. We will dedicate time to establishing a connection, determining what your needs and goals are. This session will provide an opportunity for discussion and clarification about our therapeutic partnership and objectives. If we are a good match, we will schedule a time for an intake and future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Michaela has two kids, a good sense of humor, nurturing, and has been through life's ups and downs just like many of her clients, so she understands the struggles experienced by all. Website: https://beyoutherapy.clientsecure.me/#home

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

Throughout my career, I have gained experience in a range of demanding environments such as schools, outpatient mental health clinics, hospitals, and jails where I have offered therapy services. I have applied the psychodynamic approach to assist individuals in recognizing self-imposed limitations, recovering from past traumas, and understanding the impact of their unconscious mind on their actions.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I also incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, a widely used approach. CBT helps individuals develop coping strategies to address various issues by examining the impact of thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes on emotions and behaviors. It is common to underestimate the influence of our thoughts on our actions. Given the current rise in mental health issues, I am dedicated to providing the necessary support to meet your needs
