I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and I take a person-centered approach to therapy, meeting my clients exactly where they are and empowering them to take the lead in their healing journey. I have witnessed my clients trade anxiety for peace, stress for healthy boundaries, and hopelessness for a sense of fulfillment in life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, you can expect to collaborate with me in highlighting your hopes and expectations for treatment. With established rapport and understanding, we may then work together to prioritize your goals and explore treatment options that could best meet your needs. Until then, we will spend more time building upon our therapeutic relationship.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I take value in creating a safe space in my sessions that is free from judgment; setting a tone that uplifts, empowers, and inspires authenticity and a sense of peace and hope. I am a firm believer that a smile and a dash of humor go a long way.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My passion for helping people create healthy and sustainable relationships in their lives is what first inspired me to become a therapist. Now, it is simply my desire to help individuals develop a true sense of joy and fulfillment in who they are, that ultimately drives the work that I do. Simply put, if you are ready and willing to embrace who you are and grow into who you desire to be then you have come to the right place.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I delight in the rapport-building phase of therapy, as it allows for authenticity and connection to blossom, helping me to learn my client's strengths. Strength-based therapy is a core modality that I utilize in my treatment to help clients build resilience and learn to function from a space of gain rather than lack. With this approach, I assist client in recognizing their internal and external strengths and encourage clients to focus on what they seek to gain rather than what they seek to lack.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is woven into my treatment to help my clients spot unhelpful patterns in their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and begin to develop healthy patterns. I provide tangible tools the client can practice outside of session so that they feel more empowered and equipped to take the lead in their healing journey and experience a more fulfilled life.

Faith based therapy

My faith-based treatment invites clients to explore the intersection between their faith and mental health challenges. We explore spiritual beliefs and religious practices and ways to utilize such beliefs and practices to address mental health concerns. This form of treatment is beneficial for individuals who have dealt with spiritual/religious trauma, find comfort and guidance in their faith, and/or are simply curious about their faith or spiritually and want to integrate faith and/or spirituality into their healing journey.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

With person-centered therapy, I hold a supportive non-judgmental space for my clients to reflect and process through their thoughts and experience openly, empowering them to explore and discover their true feelings and needs on their own.

Motivational Interviewing

I utilize motivational interviewing to support my clients in resolving feelings of uncertainty and insecurities. With empathy at the forefront, I will guide my clients in finding the internal motivation they need to change their behavior for the better.
