About
Welcome! I use a non-judgmental and warm approach to help you sort through current challenges and identify a way forward. We all need support at times in our lives and therapy can be a space for you to gain insight, cultivate compassion, identify old patterns, and listen to your own internal wisdom. Short term therapy can be a helpful way to address specific issues and identify action steps to reduce stress and increase your overall wellbeing.
We would meet at a local park in the East Bay Area, where we would sit, walk, or explore the area while tending to whatever emotions or questions are arising in you.
First session
In our first session, we will discuss your current concerns and goals for therapy. I will ask about your background and get a sense of the history and context of your concerns.
Strengths
I meet clients where they are at and access modalities and interventions most relevant to each person. I believe we are all part of a greater web of life and encourage not only personal healing work, but also connection with the community, and building a deeper relationship with the natural world.
Ideal clients
I often find compatibility with people who think “outside the box” or don’t always “fit in” with conventional society such as spiritual seekers, creatives, artists, community tenders, activists, neurodiverse individuals, LGBTQIA2S+ folks, highly sensitive people, nature lovers, and people looking to connect with and discover more about their ancestral roots. I often engage in nature connection practices and mindfulness meditation with clients, so if you are drawn to this type of thing, we might be a good fit.
Treatment methods
Eclectic
I used a range of modalities including psychodynamic, ecotherapy, narrative, compassion-focused, humanistic, wholistic, mindfulness-based, positive psychology, parts work, motivational interviewing, somatic, strengths-based, solution-focused and expressive therapies: play, music, movement, and art.
