I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based on Texas, also licensed to serve clients in Louisiana. I received my Master Degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. I help adults struggling with personal and/or family conflict, as well as recent declines in psychiatric symptoms. I also help individuals newly diagnosed with understanding their diagnosis including identifying symptoms and trigger.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I feel that my strengths as a licensed clinical social worker lie in my ability to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, build strong relationships with clients, and help them navigate their struggles and challenges in a compassionate and empowering way.
I will incorporate CBT techniques and principles into my therapy sessions by helping clients identify and challenge their negative thought patterns, develop coping strategies for managing difficult emotions, and set achievable goals for behavior change. I will also work with clients to develop a more balanced and adaptive cognitive framework, and help them build skills for problem-solving and effective communication. Additionally, I will use CBT to help clients recognize and modify maladaptive behaviors that are contributing to their distress. Overall, I will tailor my use of CBT to meet the specific needs and goals of each individual client.
Incorporating psychoanalytic therapy into my practice involves exploring the unconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences that may be influencing a client's current struggles. I will work with clients to gain insight into their past experiences, relationships, and patterns of behavior in order to uncover underlying conflicts and motivations. This approach may involve exploring childhood experiences, dreams, and the client's relationship with the therapist as a way to gain a deeper understanding of the client's internal world.
