Hi, I’m Hannah. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes that being human—with all of its complexity—is something to be understood, not judged. I was raised in Western Kentucky and grew up as one of four adopted children in a transracial family, an experience that deeply shaped how I see the world. It taught me to value different perspectives, honor diverse identities, and approach others with openness and curiosity. I earned my Bachelor’s in Social Work from Murray State University and my Master of Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington, focusing on children and families. Over the years, I’ve worked in schools, nonprofit settings, and provided individual, family, and group therapy. More than anything, I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are. My approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. I’ll meet you with empathy and honesty, offering support while gently challenging you toward growth. My goal is to help you feel seen, understood, and empowered as you move through whatever season of life you’re facing.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, calm, and supportive environment where there is no pressure to have everything figured out. We’ll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to therapy, and identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you. My priority is helping you feel heard, understood, and comfortable as we begin building a therapeutic relationship focused on growth, healing, and authenticity.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a space where clients feel genuinely safe, seen, and understood. I naturally lead with empathy and curiosity, while also helping clients move beyond surface-level insight into meaningful change. I balance warmth with gentle challenge, allowing growth to happen in a way that feels both supportive and empowering. Growing up in a transracial adoptive family shaped my ability to view experiences through multiple lenses and honor the complexity of identity, culture, and family dynamics. That perspective allows me to show up with cultural humility and responsiveness, particularly when working with women and individuals from diverse backgrounds. Clients often share that they feel comfortable opening up with me and appreciate my ability to validate their experiences while also helping them recognize their strengths. I take a strengths-based and practical approach, helping clients understand their patterns, build coping tools, and leave sessions with clarity and direction. My goal is not just symptom relief, but helping clients feel more confident, connected, and aligned in their everyday lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-doubt, and emotional overwhelm. I aim to create a space that is affirming, culturally responsive, and grounded in empathy. My work is rooted in helping clients reconnect with themselves, build self-trust, and move through life with greater clarity and confidence.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

My work is rooted in a strengths-based perspective. I believe you already carry wisdom, resilience, and capability within you—even if it doesn’t feel that way right now. Rather than focusing solely on problems, we’ll explore the strengths that have helped you survive and grow, and learn how to use them in healthier, more empowering ways.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you make sense of the patterns between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Often, we carry internal narratives that increase anxiety or self-doubt. Together, we gently examine those patterns, shift unhelpful thinking, and practice new responses that feel more aligned with who you want to be. My goal is to offer tools that feel practical, empowering, and sustainable.

Couples Counseling

I view couples therapy as a space to slow down and truly hear one another. Often, conflict isn’t about the surface issue—it’s about unmet needs, miscommunication, or feeling unseen. I help couples identify recurring patterns, improve communication, and reconnect emotionally. My goal is to create a supportive environment where both partners feel safe, validated, and gently challenged toward growth.
