I am a licensed professional counselor with 4 years of experience with a passion for helping individuals and couples navigate life's challenges. With four years of experience specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, I am dedicated to providing a supportive and collaborative environment for my clients. I love working with clients from all ages and backgrounds. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session with me as a therapist, clients can expect a welcoming, non-judgmental, and empathetic environment where they can begin to share their experiences, feelings, and goals for therapy. The focus will be on building trust, understanding the client’s needs, and laying the foundation for a collaborative therapeutic relationship. The session will begin with introductions. I’ll explain my approach to therapy (person-centered, non-directive, and client-focused) and let you know what to expect from the process. This is a time to establish a sense of safety and comfort. We will discuss the confidentiality of the therapy sessions. Everything shared within the session is private and will only be disclosed with your consent or if there’s a risk of harm. We’ll also explore any immediate concerns you might have, allowing you to feel heard and validated.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, my greatest strengths lie in the way I approach therapy and the values that guide my practice. These strengths help create a supportive, empathetic, and effective therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to work toward personal growth. One of my core strengths is my ability to listen attentively and empathically. I genuinely seek to understand my clients’ feelings, experiences, and perspectives.I provide a non-judgmental and accepting environment where clients can express themselves without fear of criticism.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Individuals who are interested in gaining deeper self-awareness and understanding their emotions, behaviors, and motivations. These clients may feel at a crossroads in life or desire a better sense of who they are and where they are headed. They are open to exploring their inner world and making positive changes.Clients struggling with self-acceptance, self-esteem, or confidence issues. I provide a non-judgmental, empathetic space where they can feel valued and supported. By offering unconditional positive regard, I can help these clients begin to challenge negative self-concepts and develop a healthier sense of self.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP)

CBT is based on the understanding that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are interconnected. The way we think about situations influences how we feel about them, and in turn, how we behave. Sometimes, these thought patterns can be distorted or unhelpful, leading to emotional distress or unproductive behavior.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps couples and individuals understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact. By recognizing distorted thinking patterns or maladaptive behaviors, couples can change how they interact and respond to each other, improving communication and resolving conflicts.

Couples Counseling

BCT focuses on reinforcing positive behaviors, such as acts of kindness, and decreasing negative behaviors, like criticism or avoidance. The therapist works with the couple to develop practical strategies to improve interaction patterns.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-Centered Therapy is based on the belief that humans have an inherent drive to realize their potential and grow. The role of the therapist is to help remove barriers to self-actualization by providing a supportive environment for the client to explore and make changes in their life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In this approach, couples and individual are guided to identify and build upon their strengths and successes. The therapist helps them develop concrete, actionable solutions to address current issues and make progress toward their goals.
