My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT teaches the client to stop avoiding challenges by listening to your own self-talk, then determining if the challenge should be changed or accepted. The client learns to stop repeating old patterns and behaviors and commit to stop fighting the past and practice confident and positive behaviors. This method is helpful with for clients who suffer from anxiety disorders, compulsion, depression, stress, pain, or substance abuse.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is very structured form of therapy that works to improve mental health by modifying dysfunctional emotions, behaviors, and thoughts. The client will learn to recognize thinking distortions through reframing, understanding, confidence, and problem solving to create improvement in functioning and quality of life. CBT is helpful for clients who suffer from depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness.

Eclectic

Eclectic Therapy is a form of psychotherapy where clinician uses more than one theoretical approach, or multiple sets of techniques, to help with clients' needs to create the most effective, intentional, personalized treatment plan for the client. Eclectic is most commonly used for clients who suffer from anxiety disorders or PTSD, but it can be used for any client who doesn't fit into the scope of one specific therapy modality.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational is designed for clients who have mixed feelings about making changes in their life with the goal of finding the clients motivation for change. This is done through a collaborative, empathetic, laid-back style. This method can be used for any behavior changing conditions such as: alcohol abuse, smoking cessation, diet and obesity, anxiety disorders and PTSD.

Trauma-Focused CBT

TF-CBT is used to address children, adolescent, and families dealing with the effects of early trauma. The process involves incorporating the non-offending parent or caregiver into the treatment. The client and family learn to modify distorted, negative thinking and behaviors in 12-25 sessions by challenging the negativity and developing coping skills. TC-CBT is most helpful with children and adolescent who have PTSD, sexual abuse, physical abuse, or grief.
