Life can present us with challenges that are often difficult to navigate alone. Whether you're grappling with the weight of daily stressors, facing transitions, or dealing with past trauma, know that you don't have to go through it alone. Seeking professional help can provide invaluable support and guidance along the way. With over 14 years of experience in counseling, I specialize in areas such as depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and relationship struggles. My approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and respect for individual experiences. I believe in creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and goals freely. I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including various cultural, racial, and ethnic groups. Whether you prefer English or Spanish, I am here to support you on your journey towards healing and growth. My qualifications include a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Texas. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am committed to ongoing learning and development to better serve my clients. If you're ready to take the first step towards positive change, I'm here to help. Please feel free to reach out to schedule a consultation. I offer online therapy sessions to accommodate your needs and preferences. Let's embark on this journey together, towards a healthier and happier life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the initial session, clients can expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere where they are encouraged to share their thoughts, feelings, and concerns at their own pace. We discuss the client's reasons for seeking therapy and what they hope to achieve from our sessions. I may ask some questions to gain a deeper understanding of the client's current struggles, emotional state, and relevant background information. This helps me tailor the therapy approach to their specific needs. I provide an overview of what therapy entails, including confidentiality, the therapeutic approach I use, and what clients can expect from future sessions. I encourage clients to ask any questions they may have about therapy or the counseling process. We then schedule the next session together. Overall, the first session is a collaborative and supportive experience aimed at laying the foundation for a productive therapeutic journey.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

In my role as a counselor, I prioritize creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. By cultivating a strong therapeutic alliance built on empathy and trust, I aim to provide a confidential environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their most intimate concerns and experiences. I firmly believe that each individual holds the inherent wisdom and strength within themselves, and my role is to facilitate their journey of self-discovery and healing. Together, we collaborate to explore insights, develop coping strategies, and navigate challenges, empowering clients to tap into their inner resources and achieve their therapeutic goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

With over 14 years of expertise, I specialize in addressing a range of critical issues including depression, anxiety, grief, anger, divorce, trauma, relationships, parent-child relational problems, work-related stress, and emotional/physical abuse. My approach is founded on empathy, evidence-based techniques, and a commitment to tailored support for each individual's unique journey towards healing and growth.
