Keeping up appearances while managing high expectations is exhausting. If you are a high performer or chronic overfunctioner who is doing fine on the outside but drowning in burnout, trying to make sense of the relationships around you, or carrying the quiet grief of a major life shift like a career change, divorce, or pet loss, I get it. I am Alane Atchley, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My lens as an LMFT means I do not look at your stress in a vacuum. I focus on how you are navigating the massive weight of carrying everything at home while managing intense professional pressure. Through my virtual private practice, I help clients in Texas and North Carolina process these difficult transitions, understand their relationship with their emotions, and set the boundaries needed to reclaim their energy.
Since becoming a counselor, I have worked in a variety of community counseling settings. I have worked with clients from ages 3 through 80 and with individuals, couples, and families. With that breadth of experience, very little shocks or surprises me and I have gotten a pretty good sense of where the types of counseling that play to my strengths as a counselor overlap with the types of counseling that are helpful for my clients. This sense (along with learning about lots and lots of research into what helps people find and maintain mental health) has led to the following guiding principles that shape all the counseling I do:
1) The client is always in charge. I know a lot of things but you will always be the one who decides what you want to get out of counseling, how we work towards that goal, whether or not what we’re doing seems to be working, and when we’re done.
2) Change and health happen through relationships. No matter what you come in for, there are always relational implications of change and relational factors that contribute to whatever it is that you came to counseling to change.
3) Counseling should be efficient. Counseling has significant costs in time and money. I think the benefits far outweigh the costs but if I can give you the benefits while helping you save on the costs then I want to do that.
In today's world lots of people struggle with relationship issues. Most people long to have someone to talk to about what's happening in their lives. We were created for connection with others, whether it come from a teacher, friend, coworker, spouse, or family member. My goal in therapy is to provide a safe comfortable space for YOU to process your story and its challenges, and then work together to improve your mental health and relationships.
I specialize in working with adults: particular women in adjustment and transitions of life. I see teens to address struggles at school or home. I work with relationship issure/marital issues and everyday life challenges with balancing work and family. I use an eclectic variety of therapeutic models like Family Systems, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and mindfulness.

Hello!
I'm a bubbly, laid-back person who also believes in the importance of assertive communication. I love meeting new people of different cultural backgrounds.
In my practice, I enjoy working with people who are adjusting to a new life, including teenagers, young adults, and older adults. Transitions can be extremely difficult leading to trouble making decisions, worry, depression, and substance abuse. It can be difficult to function well or thrive while adjusting to life right outside of college or adapting to retirement life after a full-time career of many years. Finding your way can be an exciting journey yet also bring about anxiety you may have never experienced before.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Texas and Colorado. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at The University of Texas at Austin and obtained my Master of Science in Counseling at The University of North Texas. I have 14 years of experience working in the mental health/substance use field and have been in private practice for 3 years.

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who's been servicing the mental health needs of individuals and groups for over 15 years. I graduated with my undergraduates in Psychology and Spanish, followed by my Master's of Science in Social Work, and ended with my Doctorate of Clinical Leadership in Social Work. I help people deal with day to day life challenges brought on by mental health concerns in our lives, sometimes due to trauma or significant events in our lives. My experience initiated working with multi-ethnic children in foster group homes, adults in the Dallas area, women, and more recently with active duty military personnel. I help my clients process and heal from trauma using various methods to meet each person where they are at. Providing therapy is a privilege for me. I'd love to see if I may be of service to you and your needs right where you are currently in you own life journey. Please schedule a session if you're interested in working together. I look forward to meeting you. Sometimes the best is yet to come.
I’m a trauma-informed therapist who helps adults heal from anxiety, trauma, burnout, and painful relationship patterns using EMDR therapy and a mind-body approach. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck in cycles of self-doubt, overwhelm, or disconnection, appearing “fine” on the outside while feeling anything but on the inside. My goal is to create a safe, grounding space where you can explore what’s beneath the surface, release what’s been weighing you down, and reconnect with the most authentic version of yourself.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is at the heart of my work. It’s an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer carry the same emotional intensity. Through gentle bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping), the mind can integrate painful experiences in a more adaptive way. Clients often describe EMDR as life-changing- it allows healing to occur on a deeper, neurological level, often when talk therapy alone hasn’t been enough. My style is collaborative, intuitive, and compassionate. I’ll meet you exactly where you are, while gently challenging patterns that no longer serve you. Together, we’ll help you feel safe in your body, clear in your mind, and at peace within yourself.
I'm Brandon, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I work with people who look like they have it together on the outside but feel lost, empty, and exhausted on the inside. The dependable one. The one everyone leans on. You've read the books, you've tried harder, and you're still stuck in the same loops — because information is not transformation. I believe you're not broken. You're a masterpiece that got covered up, and my job is to help you uncover what's already there.

As human beings, our experiences are unique to us. We experience and view the world from our lens, which impacts how we perceive ourselves and others. Unfortunately, because we are all unique, people around us also develop perceptions about us which may not be an accurate representation of who we are or our true intentions. Sometimes, our perceptions lead to miscommunication and misconceptions; thereby impacting our ability to connect and develop healthy relationships. Typically, perceptions are based on our experiences and our experiences are not always favorable or pleasant. Occasionally, our experiences are traumatic and abusive. For some, trauma and abuse occur so regularly that it becomes the norm and ultimately impacts social, interpersonal, and intimate relationships.
Counseling is the process of becoming awakened to our true selves to better understand how our personal experiences influence who we are. Our personal experiences are impacted by our family of origin, racial and cultural/ethnic group, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, etc. Because many aspects of one’s life may be explored, including childhood experiences, the process of counseling may feel uncomfortable and intrusive, at times. However, it is important to trust the process and know that every counseling session will not feel good. There are times that as a client, you may feel sad or hurt and become tearful; you may be excited and feel happy; you may be confused and feel hopeless. However, know that in the end, if you trust the process, you will hopefully learn something new about yourself that you never considered. Thus, leading to fulfillment in your life in areas including your relationships and family dynamics that ultimately, enhance your self-worth.
It is always a privilege to partner with clients on their journey to improved mental health. I work with clients to discover their value and process through past hurts and traumas. I provide a safe place to process current and past issues and also provide psychoeducation so clients can learn new, healthy coping skills. I refer to myself as a tour guide on the road to healing.

Hi there, I'm Brian.
Do you miss feeling on track and working towards your goals? Are you not connecting with those you felt close to, such as your best friends, significant other, or family? Do things just feel a bit off and you need some guidance to get back to being "you"?
I meet the client in their environment and empower them to help themselves. A holistic approach to therapy is used, pulling from several different therapeutic beliefs. Every client is different and unique, and therefore the approach to healing follows this same path. We'll discuss your goals up front to know which to direction to work towards, and help you discover new things about your healing and coping along the way.
Every person's struggle matters. Therapy is not about gauging whether someone is weak or strong, but building on their already existing strengths to help them find healthy ways to help themselves. Therapy is about discovery. Regardless of your reason for reaching out, I'll help you find the right track. You already have the tools to help yourself, let's work together to find out what they are. I look forward to speaking with you.
