I help marginalized individuals break free from the effects of childhood trauma and chronic anxiety. If you’ve tried talk therapy and still feel stuck, you’re not alone. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, unresolved trauma, and relationship challenges that continue to show up in their daily lives. Using Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), I help clients reprocess how their brain responds to past negative experiences, so they can experience real, lasting relief without having to relive every detail. With a background in education and experience working with mothers and Veterans, I understand the unique stressors that come with caregiving, service, and high-responsibility roles. You don’t have to keep managing this on your own. Healing is possible—and you are worthy of it!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect me to follow up with you regarding your intake paperwork and screeners, as well as questions regarding main stressors, current symptoms, and what your goals are for the time we spend together. Sessions are available some mornings as well as evenings, three days a week.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often share how I guide them in taking their self awareness to the next step, and how Accelerated Resolution Therapy feels like a "weight as lifted off of their shoulders" where they can now manage daily life more effectively with less anxiety and more clarity. Clients who have experienced EMDR share that Accelerated Resolution Therapy is easier and faster at addressing their root challenges that are hard to change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with people who are tired of feeling stuck. A young adult or a mom trying to pour into everyone else while quietly feeling disconnected from themselves. Someone who is used to being the “strong one,” the one who keeps it together, but underneath that, there’s people-pleasing, old wounds, and pressure from how they were raised and what’s expected of them. They knows there’s more for them. They want clarity, purpose, and peace, but isn’t fully sure how to get there yet. What matters is… they're open. Open to doing the work, exploring your story, and becoming a version of yourself that feels aligned, grounded, and free.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients embrace their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting or avoiding them. I'd suggest techniques such as mindfulness to increase awareness of the present moment, cognitive defusion to help clients detach from unhelpful thoughts, and values clarification to identify what truly matters to you.

EMDR

Similar to EMDR, I utilize Accelerated Resolution Therapy to help clients reprocess their trauma using eye movements without talking about the experiences, but visualizing them. They are foundationally the same, but ART is faster, and clients report feeling more in control with more closure.

Somatic

Using somatic therapy and holistic exercises helps clients address both physical and emotional aspects of their well-being by integrating body-centered practices and connecting the mind, body, and spirit. I encourage the use of breathwork and sound healing to help the body heal on a cellular level and calm the mind.

Whitney was very gentle. I had a really bad experience before with a different clinic and had the worst experience and I had an anxiety attack. I couldn’t even drive home and I call to get picked up. I went years without seeing a therapist because of that experience but I finally decided to give it a try again with someone different. Whitney listened patiently as she heard what I had to say. We have a plan of action and I really feel like she understands me. I’m continuing my therapy sessions

I genuinely enjoyed my experience! I left with a lot to think about and feeling more aware of what I control about my circumstances.
