If you’re tired of feeling stuck in anxiety, depression, anger, or shame, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to stay there. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who helps people get to the root of what’s holding them back and build practical tools that actually work to break the exhausting cycle. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when life already feels heavy. I strive to offer a calm, supportive environment where clients can slow down, be heard, and begin making sense of their experiences. Together, we work to understand patterns, build coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your goals, current stressors, and what you hope to gain from counseling. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this session is about creating a safe, supportive space and beginning a plan that feels right for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

22 years of marriage and six kids has taught me this: real change takes honesty, patience, and practical tools—and that’s exactly how I work. A practical, straightforward approach for people ready to do the work and create lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with clients who want real change, not just talk. My approach is active, honest, and focused on helping you show up better for yourself and the people you care about—emotionally grounded, confident, and connected.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My approach to CBT is collaborative and practical. I help clients recognize patterns in their thinking that contribute to anxiety, depression, or feeling stuck, and we work together to challenge and reframe those thoughts. The goal is to build tools clients can use outside of session to respond to stress with greater clarity and confidence.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT to help clients develop concrete skills for managing overwhelming emotions and stress. Together, we focus on mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation strategies that clients can apply in real-life situations to reduce reactivity and improve emotional stability.

EMDR

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process distressing or traumatic experiences that continue to impact their emotional wellbeing. EMDR supports the brain’s natural healing process, allowing painful memories to become less intense and disruptive so clients can move forward with greater clarity and emotional relief.

Christian Counseling

I offer Christian counseling for clients who wish to integrate their faith into the therapeutic process. Sessions may include exploring spiritual beliefs, values, and Scripture alongside evidence-based clinical approaches to support emotional healing, growth, and resilience.
