Hello! I have been blessed to experience life through many meaningful roles, including being a daughter, wife, mother, Gigi, and friend. Each of these experiences has shaped the way I connect with others and has given me a deeper understanding of the joys, challenges, responsibilities, and transitions that people experience throughout life. I truly enjoy building genuine relationships and creating a space where people feel comfortable, valued, and heard. One of the things I love most about counseling is getting to know each person’s unique story and helping them identify their needs, goals, and strengths. I believe every individual deserves support, encouragement, and compassion as they navigate life’s challenges. My approach is centered on meeting people where they are while helping them discover practical ways to grow, heal, and move forward. As a Christian, my faith plays an important role in the way I view people and relationships. I believe every person has value, purpose, and the ability to grow through life’s experiences. I genuinely love people and feel honored to walk alongside clients as they work toward healing, clarity, confidence, and positive change in their lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session with me, the focus is on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. There is no pressure to share everything at once—this is a space where you can move at a pace that feels comfortable. We’ll start by talking about what’s currently going on in your life, what challenges you’re facing, and what you hope to get out of therapy. I may ask questions about your background, relationships, stressors, and overall well-being so I can get a clearer picture of your experiences. You’re always welcome to share only what feels right for you. We’ll also talk briefly about how therapy works, including confidentiality, my approach, and what ongoing sessions might look like. This is a good time for you to ask any questions you have about the process or about me as your therapist. Most importantly, the first session is about creating a sense of safety and connection. My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and not judged. You don’t need to have the “right words” or a clear plan—just showing up is enough. By the end of the session, we may begin to identify initial goals for therapy and talk about possible next steps, but nothing is set in stone. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will shape it together based on your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I truly care about helping people. We will talk about what you feel works for you and what doesn't. I am flexible and if you don't feel like something is working, we will transition to something else. I like to see progress, and we will work through everything to get you to a place you feel is a healthy place for you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with individuals who are navigating life transitions that can feel overwhelming, uncertain, or difficult to manage alone. Whether someone is experiencing changes in relationships, school, career, family dynamics, identity, or personal goals, I value helping clients gain clarity, confidence, and direction during these important stages of life. I understand that transitions can bring stress, anxiety, self-doubt, and emotional challenges, and I strive to provide a supportive and encouraging space where clients feel heard and understood. I especially enjoy working with teenagers and adolescents. I naturally connect well with teens and work to build a trusting, nonjudgmental relationship where they can openly express themselves. I enjoy helping young people navigate academic pressures, peer relationships, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and future planning. Career counseling is also one of my greatest interests and passions. I enjoy helping clients explore who they are, identify their strengths and values, and better understand what careers, educational paths, or life directions may be the best fit for them. I believe meaningful work and personal fulfillment are closely connected, and I enjoy guiding clients as they discover goals and paths that align with who they are and who they hope to become.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I often integrate CBT techniques with mindfulness, person-centered therapy, and strengths-based approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. My goal is to help clients gain insight, feel more in control of their emotions, and create meaningful, sustainable changes in their lives. Through CBT, clients learn that while they may not always be able to control every situation, they can learn to respond to challenges in healthier and more effective ways.

EMDR

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help clients process and heal from distressing experiences, trauma, anxiety, and negative beliefs that may be impacting their daily lives. EMDR helps the brain reprocess difficult memories in a safe and structured way, reducing emotional distress while building healthier coping responses. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and paced to ensure clients feel supported throughout the healing process.
