My name is Pablo, and I have been working as a clinician for the past fifteen years. I have worked with a variety of clients. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, substance abuse, addiction, marital problems, anger problems, and a wide range of other mental health concerns in both clinical and hospital settings. My goal as a clinician is to help people gain a better understanding of the challenges that can arise in daily life and how to maintain a healthy balance so that these problems do not define them. I want to help my clients understand the true purpose of counseling and how it can empower them to grow as individuals. I am passionate about helping people build the tools they need to live fulfilling lives.

My biggest strength as a therapist is the ability to challenge clients in areas where some therapists do not feel comfortable.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Faith Development. I also have a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. I am committed to providing my clients with the highest quality of care.

First session

I want to take this first session to get to know you. I’m interested in understanding what brings you here, what your goals are, and how I might be able to help. By the end of this intake, I’ll be able to provide you with a roadmap for our future sessions. Together, we will develop a plan that will address your specific needs and help you make the progress you’re looking for.

Strengths

My biggest strength as a therapist is the ability to challenge clients in areas where some therapists do not feel comfortable. Communication is a two-way street and requires both listening and speaking. I believe that listening is the biggest part of therapy, but some therapists may miss the mark when it comes to speaking. I excel at working with you on your problems and finding solutions. I provide more than just feedback and a summary of your communication.

Ideal clients

My passion is helping adults 18+ who are struggling with mental health issues. As a therapist, I want to empower my clients to overcome the challenges they are facing and help them live happier, healthier lives. Whether you’re coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, or any other mental health concern, I’m here to listen and provide a safe, supportive space where you can heal. I believe that everyone deserves to feel better, and I’m dedicated to helping my clients achieve their mental health goals.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of my main treatment methods. In CBT, I help my clients identify the irrational thoughts and behaviors that are contributing to their problems. Once these are identified, we work together to develop more rational thoughts and healthier behaviors. I also use CBT to help my clients develop coping mechanisms for dealing with difficult situations and emotions. I believe that by changing our thinking, we can change our behavior and improve our overall well-being.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Using a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) approach in therapy allows me to help others by balancing validation with change—meeting clients where they are emotionally while still guiding them toward healthier behaviors. I support clients in building practical skills across mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness so they can better manage intense emotions, reduce impulsive or self-defeating behaviors, and improve relationships. Through a DBT lens, I help clients learn how to acknowledge their pain without judgment, tolerate discomfort without making situations worse, and make intentional choices aligned with their values. By emphasizing structure, accountability, and skills practice both in and outside of sessions, DBT empowers clients to feel more in control of their lives while fostering self-compassion, resilience, and long-term behavioral change.

First session went really well and I can see that he did ready to help but also respects the culture I come from and is going to work with me while also keeping in mind my culture.
