I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Air Force veteran who works with teens and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, burnout, and major life transitions. My approach is practical, supportive, and focused on helping clients better understand what’s keeping them stuck while building realistic coping strategies they can apply in everyday life. I work well with clients who are used to handling things on their own but have reached a point where they want support, better balance, healthier relationships, or improved emotional well-being. I aim to create a space where clients feel comfortable being honest, asking questions, and making meaningful progress without feeling judged or talked down to.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is focused on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and discussing what you hope to gain from the process. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy, and there is no pressure to share everything immediately. My goal is to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental environment where you can speak openly and begin identifying practical steps toward progress. We will discuss your background, current stressors, coping strategies, relationships, and goals so we can begin building a plan that feels realistic and helpful for you. I also believe therapy works best as a collaborative process. I want clients to feel supported while also leaving sessions with greater insight, practical tools, and a clearer understanding of how to move forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often describe me as calm, approachable, direct, and easy to talk to. I work to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being honest without worrying about being judged or pressured. My background as both a counselor and Air Force veteran helps me connect well with clients dealing with stress, pressure, burnout, high expectations, anxiety, and major life changes. I understand that many people are used to carrying responsibilities for others while struggling to prioritize themselves. I combine evidence-based approaches like CBT, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and strength-based therapy with practical conversations focused on realistic progress. My goal is to help clients better understand patterns, improve coping skills, build confidence, and create changes that feel sustainable outside of therapy sessions.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults and teens dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, burnout, trauma, life transitions, and the pressure of trying to keep everything together while feeling overwhelmed internally. Many of my clients are high-functioning individuals who are used to handling problems on their own but have reached a point where they want better coping strategies, healthier relationships, and more balance in their lives. As an Air Force veteran and Licensed Professional Counselor, I also enjoy working with veterans, men hesitant about therapy, and clients navigating high-stress environments or major life changes. My approach is practical, supportive, and focused on creating realistic progress that clients can apply in everyday life.

Motivational Interviewing

I use motivational interviewing to help clients explore ambivalence, strengthen motivation for change, and build confidence in their ability to move forward and make lasting improvements.

Strength-Based

I use a strength-based approach to help clients recognize resilience, build confidence, and use their existing strengths and experiences to navigate challenges more effectively.

Person-centered (Rogerian)
