With over two decades of experience, I am dedicated to helping people achieve personal growth and healing. I hold professional licenses in Texas as both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). Additionally, I am nationally certified as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and a Clinical Trauma Specialist. My background and credentials enable me to support my clients in creating the life they want, guiding them through their journey of self-improvement and recovery.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they are assured of a supportive and respectful partnership. We’ll work together to understand goals and begin shaping a path toward healing. This initial meeting is all about setting a solid foundation and ensuring the client feels heard, comfortable, and supported as we begin their journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, my greatest strengths lie in my deep empathy and genuine care for my clients. What sets me apart is my personal journey through trauma. My own experiences with a life-threatening illness, numerous surgeries, and extensive rehabilitation have shaped my understanding of resilience and choice. These challenges have shown me—and what I aim to show my clients—the incredible power that lies in the choices we make. We can either be defined by our circumstances or take the lead to craft a life that truly reflects who we are and what we value. I encourage my clients to recognize their strengths and possibilities, rather than being confined by perceived limitations. My journey has been far from flawless, but it is uniquely mine, and it reinforces my belief that the essence of our lives is shaped by the decisions we make.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My clients often face multiple diagnoses simultaneously such as anxiety and chronic pain or trauma and depression. They are looking for a way to regain the life their mental health conditions have taken from them. They are looking for tools to manage their complex symptoms, and to finally remove the barriers that separate them from everything and everyone they care about.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop healthier beliefs, and practice positive behaviors. This approach empowers clients to manage their emotions and behaviors effectively, fostering long-term resilience and well-being.

Eclectic

i use an eclectic, evidence-based approach to therapy—drawing from CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. This allows me to tailor sessions to fit each client’s unique goals, preferences, and pace, whether they’re navigating trauma, addiction, life changes, or emotional challenges.

Trauma Informed Care

I provide trauma-informed care rooted in safety, trust, and collaboration. I understand how trauma impacts the brain, body, and relationships, and tailor treatment to support healing without re-traumatization. My approach integrates evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, and somatic strategies to help clients regain a sense of control and wholeness.
