Hello and welcome, I would be honored to walk with you along your healing journey. My role is to be your ally as you navigate on your path of growth and healing. Whether you're seeking clarity, healing, or new ways to cope, I am here to support you during this important time of your life. Together, we’ll work to create a path that aligns with your personal goals. I have had worked with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, career exploration, bipolar disorder, relationship, and communication issues. I also have experience helping people navigate life after trauma and abuse, including those in foster care and former foster youth. Additionally, I’ve supported individuals through mental health crises and homelessness, both in nonprofit settings and in private practice. I believe in treating the whole person's needs, which is why I take a holistic approach to therapy. This includes offering resources and guidance to support you in all areas of your life. My therapeutic style is warm, inviting, and deeply empathetic. I strive to create a non-judgmental, compassionate environment where you feel truly heard, respected, and valued. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to meet each client where they are. My goal is to collaborate with you to create a treatment plan that works for you. It takes tremendous courage to reach out for help, especially when you've been the strong one for so long, and I commend you for taking this step. I’m here to walk alongside you, empower you, and help you see the best in yourself. Let’s work together to unlock your potential and make meaningful changes in your life. I look forward to joining you on your journey to healing and growth! -I do offer later appointments to accommodate working hours.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My clients have said that during our very first session I've made them feel comfortable and that I make them feel heard and understood. During our first session, it is my aim to make you feel as comfortable and safe as possible to be your authentic self. I’ll ask questions to understand your areas of concern, your goals for counseling, and any other aspects of your life that you feel are important to your treatment. I encourage you to share openly and feel comfortable with asking any questions or expressing any concerns you might have. As your therapist, you can expect me to be a trusted extension of your support system. I am here to walk alongside you, offering guidance and compassion as you navigate through your healing journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I help clients find their voices through providing an uplifting non-judgmental space for them to be heard and seen. I have a passion for guiding individuals from being hurt to healed, from self doubt to confidence. I truly want my clients to win in their lives in every way. Having worked in private practice and as a field based crisis counselor, I have gained the skills to help clients during their time of need that includes a holistic approach and I believe in providing a safe space for my clients to be able to work through the things that they feel affect them the most. I have worked in the mental health field in different capacities and have worked with people from various demographics. I have a strong understanding of cultural importance and challenges in addition to the role that they play in everyday life. I applaud you for taking the first step in seeking care, I understand how difficult that can be, welcome to your healing journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals who are ready for growth, even if they don’t feel fully ready yet. Many of my clients are used to being “the strong one,” but are now feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and misunderstood. Strong people deserve support as well! If you’re open to reflecting, building new skills, and making meaningful changes, we may be a strong fit. I offer evening appointments to support busy schedules. If you’re ready to begin showing up for yourself in a new way, I would be honored to support you.

My treatment methods

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I approach therapy with an understanding that culture, identity, and life experiences play a significant role in how we think, feel, and navigate the world. I have worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and take care to create a space that is respectful, inclusive, and mindful of your unique experiences. I do not make assumptions, I take the time to listen and understand what matters most to you. Together, we can explore how your background, values, and experiences impact your life, relationships, and overall well-being in a way that feels supportive and aligned with who you are.

Trauma Informed Care

I approach therapy through a trauma-informed scope, understanding that past experiences can impact how you feel, respond, and relate to others. My priority is to create a space where you feel safe and supported. There is never pressure to share more than you are ready for, and we move at a pace that feels right for you. I focus on helping you feel grounded and in control before exploring deeper experiences. My goal is to support your healing in a way that feels manageable, empowering, and not overwhelming.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we will identify patterns such as overthinking, negative self-talk, or self-doubt, and work toward developing more balanced and supportive ways of thinking. You’ll gain practical tools to manage stress, improve your mood, and respond differently to challenges so you’re not just gaining insight, but real-life skills

Positive Psychology

I incorporate positive psychology to help you build on your strengths and create a more fulfilling and meaningful life. This isn’t about ignoring difficulties, it’s about helping you recognize your resilience, shift your mindset, and develop habits that support growth, confidence, and emotional well-being.

Eclectic

I take an eclectic and individualized approach to therapy, meaning I tailor our work together to your specific needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. I integrate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and positive psychology to support both healing and growth. This allows us to better understand patterns, process experiences safely, and build practical tools you can use in your daily life. Therapy with me is not just about talking, it’s about gaining insight, building skills, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

Rachel was genuinely concerned with my mental health. She listened to my concerned and shared tools to practice and live by. She's also a Mother, so she could relate well, understanding my concerns.
