Hello and Welcome to your healing journey. I’m honored to be a part of your healing journey. I have had the privilege of working with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, career exploration, bipolar disorder, and relationship or communication issues. I also have experience helping people navigate life after trauma and abuse, including those in foster care and former foster youth. Additionally, I’ve supported individuals through mental health crises and homelessness, both in nonprofit settings and in private practice. My role is to be an ally as you navigate the path of growth and change. Whether you're seeking clarity, healing, or new ways to cope, I am here to support you in this important time of your life. Together, we’ll work to create a path that aligns with your unique goals and needs. I believe in treating the whole person, which is why I take a holistic approach to therapy. This includes offering resources and guidance to support you in all areas of your life. My therapeutic style is warm, inviting, and deeply empathetic. I strive to create a non-judgmental, compassionate environment where you feel truly heard, respected, and valued. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to meet each client where they are. My goal is to collaborate with you to create a treatment plan that works for you. It takes tremendous courage to reach out for help—especially when you've been the strong one for so long—and I commend you for taking this step. I’m here to walk alongside you, empower you, and help you see the best in yourself. Let’s work together to unlock your potential and make meaningful changes in your life. I look forward to joining you on your journey to healing and growth! Please note that I offer flexible scheduling, including after-hours and late evening sessions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we’ll take the time to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions to understand your areas of concern, your goals for counseling, and any other aspects of your life that you feel are important to your treatment. I encourage you to share openly and feel comfortable asking any questions or expressing any concerns you might have for me. As your therapist, you can expect me to be a trusted extension of your support system. I am here to walk alongside you, offering guidance and compassion as you navigate your healing journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in private practice and as a field based crisis counselor, I have gained the skills to help clients during their time of need that includes a holistic approach and I believe in providing a safe space for my clients to be able to work through the things that they feel affect them the most. I have worked in the mental health field in different capacities and have worked with people from various demographics. I have a strong understanding of cultural importance and challenges in addition to the role that they play in everyday life.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I truly enjoy working with clients from all backgrounds and different age groups. It’s my privilege to walk alongside you as you process, heal, and grow. My approach is rooted in creating an uplifting, supportive environment where you feel empowered to explore and move forward in a positive way. I enjoy working with all clients and have years of experience with clients with concerns ranging from multiple areas including anxiety, depression, trauma processing and self esteem. I am a certified trauma informed counselor. If you've been struggling with your mental health or feeling stuck in life, know that you are not alone. You deserve to be heard, understood, and supported. I would be honored to work with you on your journey to healing and growth.

My treatment methods

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I understand the importance and challenges faced within various cultures and practice this knowledge to ensure client comfort.

Trauma Informed Care

I meet my clients where they are in their journey and offer empowerment in a safe and supportive environment for clients to be able to take their power back. I aim to help clients find their strengths and safe space within themselves.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I assess for risks and risk factors, in addition to assist in challenging thoughts and behaviors leading to thoughts of suicide. I collaborate with clients to recognize triggers, the level of stress attached to triggers, and assist in creating plans and to ensure safety at various risk levels.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I help individuals to recognize and challenge negative self-talk, create a self value inventory and aid in the process of reducing and eliminating repeated negative patterns. I guide clients to finding thoughts and behaviors aligned with the client and their value inventory.

Eclectic

I use a combination of treatment styles to allow for flexibility and address each concern in the best way possible
