Welcome. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with 13 years of experience working alongside individuals as they build resilience, deepen self‑understanding, and move toward meaningful change. My practice is fully telehealth‑based, serving clients in both Texas and Oregon. I come from humble beginnings, and much of my early life was shaped by being the person others naturally turned to when they were struggling. Over time, I realized that my ability to listen deeply, offer steady support, and hold space for people in their hardest moments wasn’t just part of my personality — it was pointing me toward my calling.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first counseling session is a comfortable, conversational space where we get to know one another and begin exploring what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask thoughtful, guided questions to understand your goals, your strengths, and the challenges you’ve been carrying, while giving you plenty of room to share at your own pace.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My counseling style is grounded in evidence‑based practices that support meaningful and sustainable change. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while Person‑Centered principles guide me in creating a compassionate, non‑judgmental space. I approach each person with empathy, respect, and a deep belief in their capacity for growth. No matter what you’re facing, you’ll find a space here that is free of judgment and centered on understanding your experiences, strengthening your resilience, and helping you move toward the life you want to build. I work collaboratively with you to identify what matters most and to create a clear, achievable path forward. Together, we break goals into manageable steps, build on your strengths, and use evidence‑based strategies to support meaningful progress. Throughout the process, I provide guidance, accountability, and a steady, non‑judgmental presence.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with individual adults who are seeking support as they navigate some of life’s most difficult moments. Many of my clients come to therapy to address challenges such as addiction, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, trauma, and other significant stressors that can feel overwhelming to manage alone.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have more than 13 years of experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a core part of my clinical work, and it continues to be one of the most effective and collaborative approaches I use with clients. Over the years, I’ve applied CBT in a variety of settings—including inpatient mental health, community programs, and now in my telehealth practice serving clients in Texas and Oregon—which has allowed me to adapt the model to meet people where they are, both clinically and culturally. In my practice, I use CBT to help clients identify patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, depression, or feeling “stuck.” Together, we explore these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, and I guide clients in learning practical skills such as reframing unhelpful thoughts, building healthier coping strategies, and taking small, achievable steps toward their goals. I also integrate CBT tools like thought records, behavioral activation, and problem‑solving strategies to support clients in making meaningful, sustainable changes between sessions. My goal is always to empower clients—not just to understand what they’re experiencing, but to develop the confidence and skills to navigate challenges long after therapy ends. CBT gives us a structured, evidence‑based framework to do that while still allowing room for personalization, warmth, and collaboration.

Motivational Interviewing

I also have extensive experience using Motivational Interviewing as a core part of my therapeutic approach, particularly when working with clients who feel ambivalent about change or are navigating complex behavioral patterns. MI has been especially valuable in my work across inpatient psychiatric settings, substance use treatment programs, and outpatient counseling, where readiness for change often varies from moment to moment. In my practice, I use MI to create a collaborative, non‑judgmental space where clients feel safe exploring their own motivations, values, and goals. Rather than directing or pushing change, I focus on eliciting the client’s own reasons for wanting things to be different. I do this through reflective listening, open‑ended questions, affirmations, and helping clients resolve ambivalence in a way that feels empowering rather than pressured. MI integrates naturally with my broader counseling style. I use it to help clients strengthen their confidence, identify discrepancies between their current behaviors and their long‑term values, and build momentum toward meaningful change. Whether we’re addressing anxiety, depression, substance use, or general life transitions, MI allows clients to take ownership of their progress and move forward at a pace that feels authentic and sustainable.
