Hello, My name is Najja Cummings. I have been providing psychotherapy for 5 years. I have worked in a multitude of settings with diverse populations. I have worked in community agency, child welfare, jails, private practice, hospice, etc. I have worked with athletes (collegiate and high school). I have worked with a diverse range of diagnoses from your basic adjustment disorders to your more severe such as schizophrenia. I am committed to aiding individuals in their quest to better deal with life stressors and getting a grasp of their mental health. I would love the opportunity to be able to assist on your journey of self-improvement.
The first session is the intake process. I will be provided a biopsychosocial, which is a list of questions that enables me to learn more information about the client.
I utilize CBT, DBT, Person-Centered, Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused strategies.
My biggest strengths would be reduction of anxiety symptoms. I utilize CBT often in treatment as I can be a thinking-based clinician.
I've worked with a wide range of clientele, so I wouldn't say I have a dream client. I've worked with mostly with anxiety throughout my career.

Have been seeing him over a year and he is the only one that I have stuck with and he has stuck with me. If you want someone that is going to tell you what you want, DO not come to him, because he will tell you what you need. I owe a lot of my better days to how he has helped me in my personal and professional life. I am appreciative of his skillset and just his ability to hear people, and not just help with problems.

Working with Najja for just a few sessions has been a grounding experience. He creates a calm, open space where I feel safe to be honest. He listens deeply, asks thoughtful questions, and helps me reflect in ways that feel natural and empowering. Even in a short time, I’ve gained clarity and new insight. If you’re looking for a therapist who is present, nonjudgmental, and intuitive, I highly recommend Najja.

I would recommend. You’ll want the sessions to be longer because of the engagement he has during your talks.
