Hey there, I’m Chris! If you feel like you’re giving everything you’ve got and it’s still not enough, you’re not alone. Maybe you’re stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, emotional spirals, or shutdown, even though you look “put together” on the outside. Life, relationships, and work all feel like too much. You’re tired of being told to “just try harder” or "figure it out." I get it! I’m a licensed counselor with over 22 years of experience, and I know these struggles personally. I was diagnosed with ADHD at 36 and have raised 3 kids with ADHD (one also has Autism). I know how isolating it feels when we just can't keep up or "do the things" everybody else seems to do so effortlessly. My approach is compassionate and collaborative; we are teammates working together. Clients often say it’s the first time therapy has truly made sense. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing who you are. It’s about understanding yourself, building tools that actually work for you in your life, and creating a space where you feel seen, supported, and accepted. I offer online therapy in PA, FL, and SC.

Hi! I'm Dana, a licensed therapist (LPC) in Philadelphia for adults who are tired of the way their past experiences keep impacting the way they show up in the present, who feel like their feelings are "too much", and who get stuck overthinking everything but are unable to make meaningful change stick. If you're struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues and/or low self esteem; I'm here to tell you that there isn't anything 'wrong' with you. You aren't broken, you have simply learned to cope in ways that are no longer serving you. You don't need to be labeled or pathologized, you need to be supported by someone who actually gets you. My full availability is not always listed on the Grow scheduling calendar. If you are interested in booking with me but don't see the date/time you were hoping for, please send me a message and I will see what I can do to accommodate you.

My work focuses particularly on spirituality, addiction, and concerns related to sex and pornography addiction. I bring a wide range of life experiences into my work and offer a relaxed, approachable presence in each session. We’ve all received messages throughout our lives—some that have supported us and others that have caused harm. Together, we can begin to sort through those experiences and let go of what no longer serves you. I take a holistic approach, recognizing that we are more than just our minds, and I intentionally integrate the body and spirituality into the work. My background is in progressive Christianity, while remaining open and respectful of all spiritual paths. I believe people grow most effectively in relationship—with support, insight, and accountability guiding the process.

I’m a trauma-informed therapist who believes healing happens in safe, honest relationships. I show up as a real person in the room, warm, grounded, and direct; while creating a space where you can exhale and be fully yourself. I see symptoms as meaningful responses to life experiences, not flaws to be fixed. Together, we gently explore the patterns that once helped you survive and decide which ones you’re ready to outgrow. My work blends insight with practical tools. I integrate parts work, relational approaches, and nervous system regulation to help you understand your emotions, strengthen your boundaries, and build resilience. I balance compassion with thoughtful challenge, supporting you while also encouraging growth. At the core of my work is the belief that you are not broken but you are adapting. I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience working with children and adults. I have primarily worked within school systems as an on-site therapist; as well as in my own private practice. I work with people who have a variety of concerns, including: trauma, attachment, grief and loss, divorce, school problems, anxiety and depression, life-phase transitions, and family conflicts. I value an eclectic and prescriptive therapeutic model, and am skilled at shifting gears when the need arises. My specialty is working with children 2 to 12. As a registered play therapist/supervisor, I understand the language that children routinely use to communicate: play. Through play therapy, children can explore new roles, act out challenging situations, and re-work beliefs about themselves and others. In parent-child play therapy (with younger children), we work together to build secure and safe connections, practice new ways of communicating, and foster JOY in your interactions. In addition to play therapy, I have trained extensively in EMDR (for children and adults), Jungian sandtray, the Oaklander Model of Gestalt Play therapy, Mindfulness, and Theraplay. Every one of these modalities is meant to foster relationships built on safety, warmth, security, and trust. My work with adult clients can be described as "going deep." I especially enjoy working with adult women going through life transitions (career, family, spiritual). In addition, I am interested in working with other therapists who experience clinical burnout. In my life outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, crocheting, reading, yoga, walking, petting my cats, and spending time in nature.

I have an LPC and an LMFT and have been seeing clients since 1996. I have extensive training in helping people who are going through or have experienced narcissistic abuse and any form of childhood trauma, this includes verbal and emotional abuse, family addictions, or any early childhood experience that would cause one to feel unsafe. I am also experienced in the treatment of anxiety, worry and mood concerns and work with addictions, obsessive compulsive behaviors and any poor coping skills or core beliefs that were developed in order to manage these stressors. I use practices primarily focused on somatic and cognitive therapy but also utilize acceptance commitment therapy, internal family systems, mindfulness and am solution focused. I use homework and assignments aimed at regulating the nervous system in order to repair the fight/flight/freeze response that is often stuck on due to a continuous history of a variety of life stressors (trauma). This trapped and stored trauma continues to trigger the nervous system to respond in ways where we continue to feel unsafe, even after the threats have passed. By working with the nervous system to release this trapped trauma and find safety, we can then have the opportunity to respond to the world differently.

Nastassja Hanna is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and founder of Lumen Counseling LLC. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School and provides virtual therapy throughout Pennsylvania. Nastassja works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, OCD, trauma and PTSD, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, substance use concerns, relationship challenges, self-esteem and identity concerns, spiritual and religious issues, and life transitions. Her clinical background includes outpatient, college, substance use, and family-based mental health settings, providing experience working with individuals facing both complex and everyday challenges. Nastassja’s approach is thoughtful, analytical, compassionate, and practical. She believes effective therapy goes beyond simply talking about what is difficult. Therapy should help clients understand the thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and patterns that may be keeping them stuck while developing practical skills and new ways of responding. Treatment is individualized based on each client’s history, strengths, needs, and goals and may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Positive Psychology, and attachment-based approaches. By combining structured, evidence-based interventions with a flexible, collaborative, and client-centered approach, Nastassja seeks to address concerns with both compassion and precision. Her goal is not only to help clients experience symptom relief, but also to develop greater insight, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and make intentional, values-driven decisions that support meaningful and fulfilling lives. For clients who desire Christian counseling, Nastassja integrates a biblical Christian worldview with evidence-based psychological care.

I am a full-time school counselor, but work part-time as a therapist. Prior to becoming a school counselor, I worked in the mental health field for over 15 years in multiple roles. I enjoy helping adolescents and young adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns to identify strategies that allow them to manage and/or overcome these concerns. I tend to use an eclectic mix of person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy when working with clients. I also have been trained in mindfulness to assist my clients. I also understand the difficulties one might face related to the current societal climate as it relates to LGBTQ+ population and race. I believe it is important for clients to have a safe space to share the microaggressions, discrimination, and/or hate that one may face. I believe that I can be that safe space for all individuals. In my free-time, I am enjoy spending time with my family. During this time, we like to do things outdoors, such as playing pickleball, hiking, paddleboarding, or just relaxing.

I am the mother to 2 grown children and a grandmother. I was married for over 40 years prior to my husband passing, I now share my house with a Golden Retriever. I went back to school later in life, and like to encourage others to do the same if possible. I was motivated by all the great work that the caseworkers were doing to improve their clients lives. I went back to school to finish my Bachelors and finally received a Masters in Social work. I retired from the county program as a Casework Supervisor, I felt that my position was becoming more administrative, and I was missing the connections I had made with my clients. At that time I felt it was time to work on what my original goal was which was to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I did work for 5 years with children with behavioral issues in school and in their homes. My previous position was in a small practice in rural PA, where I learned the importance of being eclectic in my treatment approach because every clent and their situation is different , and they deserve to have a treatment plan specifically targeted to their situation

Whether you’re dealing with personal challenges or relationship issues, I aim to support you in building resilience and reconnecting with your authentic self. Hi, I’m Erica, a therapist in the Philadelphia area who believes healing is rarely neat, linear, or Instagram-perfect. My approach blends evidence-based tools with an honest appreciation for how complicated, funny, painful, and beautiful being human can be. My approach combines evidence based tools with curiosity, compassion, humor, and a genuine interest in understanding what makes you, well, you. I work with people who want to understand themselves better, break patterns that are no longer serving them, work through difficult experiences, or simply feel a little more comfortable in their own lives. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be honest. You don’t have to have the right words, know exactly what you need, or come in with everything figured out. You can show up messy, overwhelmed, frustrated, guarded, or completely unsure of where to start. We can figure it out together. As someone who lives with a disability, I also know that resilience is a word that gets thrown around pretty casually. I understand what it means to build a life around limitations you didn’t choose while still wanting a life that feels full, meaningful, and genuinely yours. I bring that lived experience into my work, not because I think it means I understand everyone’s experience, but because I know what it feels like to keep going when things are heavy. At the end of the day, I’m a therapist, but I’m also a real person. I won’t pretend to have all the answers or expect you to have yours. My job is to meet you where you are, help you understand what’s happening underneath the surface, and give you some tools to make things feel a little more manageable.

Hi! I’m Jess! I’ve been a licensed counselor for almost 20 years, and I’ve truly loved the opportunity to walk alongside so many different people through the various times of life. One of my favorite parts of the work is getting to know someone in those early conversations. I genuinely enjoy hearing your story, learning what has brought you to therapy, and understanding the experiences that have shaped you. There’s something meaningful about getting to know the person behind the struggles they’re bringing into the room. I especially enjoy working with people who are ready to explore the possibility of change. You don’t have to have everything figured out, and you certainly don’t have to know exactly what needs to change before you begin. Sometimes it’s enough to recognize that something isn’t working the way you hoped and to feel ready—or even just curious—to see what might be different. My hope is that therapy can become a place where you feel understood, supported, and encouraged as you begin to imagine what life could look like when things start to shift.

All behavior is purposeful. This means that we never do anything for no reason. Even when our behavior appears confusing or counterproductive to our values, our behavior has meaning and purpose. Therapy is a setting where we can gain insight about the origins of our perceptions, thinking and behavior. With clearer understanding, we are better equipped to identify factors within our control and consider alternative responses to our conditions. We gain awareness of the needs that are being met by potentially self-defeating thinking or behaviors and have a special opportunity to practice new thinking in the safety of therapy.

Hi All, My name is Linda, and I have a deep passion for helping folks grow to the heights they want to achieve. I have been a therapist for years, and have spent a great deal of time helping those who have experienced trauma. I love working with people and have a special place in my heart for the Arts and Music. For many years I owned a woodcraft and ceramic business and continue to keep crafts close to me. I also love music and love to play the organ, piano, and guitar. I was a non-traditional student and received my bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology in 1996 from East Stroudsburg University, then raised my own three children for a while. I returned to school and completed my master's degree in Social Work in 2020 from Capella University. I currently hold an LCSW in PA. I have taken many additional trainings in Trauma-informed counseling, DBT, EMDR, and of course crafts/painting. Helping folks care for themselves is extremely important in life’s struggles, and sharing the heart's desires helps us all navigate the world. It is with great anticipation that I get to know the uniqueness of you in a holistic environment where we can work on reaching the heights of your passion. I hope all my folks find me supportive and comforting on their journey in life. We can do this! See you soon!

Hello! I appreciate that you’re taking this step toward finding a therapist you feel will be a good fit for you. I am a licensed clinical social worker with 13 years of experience. For most of this time I have worked with people around issues of depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, and relationship/family issues. I am also passionate about working with LGBTQ folks around issues of coming out and self-acceptance. I know that the decision to look for a therapist isn’t always an easy one but, by doing so, you are taking an important first step toward creating change for yourself! I take a down-to-earth, supportive, conversational approach to therapy. I engage in discussion and don’t hesitate to share my own life experience when appropriate. I find that a more personal approach helps strengthen the relationship between me and the people I meet with which, in turn, will help you feel more comfortable being open in sessions. I take this approach because therapy is most successful when a person feels like their therapist understands them and when there is some level of connection. I focus on ensuring you will feel both seen and heard starting with our first session. You will be approached by me with curiosity, interest, and care at all times. At the start of your sessions with me I will ask how you’d like to start that day’s conversation and, if you’re not sure, will support you in discovering what might be important for you to talk about in the moment. I invite you to schedule a first session to see if I am a good fit for what you’re looking for in therapy!

Hi, I’m Brittany — a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania who helps women heal from trauma, break free from intrusive thoughts, and manage high-functioning anxiety without burning themselves out. Many of my clients appear “put together” on the outside but feel overwhelmed on the inside—carrying childhood trauma, people-pleasing patterns, chronic worry, or perfectionism that never seems to let up. If this sounds like you, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to keep powering through it. When I’m not working with clients, you can usually find me outdoors with my family and dog, reading, traveling, going to concerts or comedy shows, or doing a Bible study. These things help me stay grounded — and I bring that same grounded energy into sessions.

Tired of reading bios? I would be too, so I'll keep it short: I graduated from UPenn 10+ years ago with a Master's in Social Work. I have experience working in almost every setting you could imagine. I specialize in making people feel comfortable, safe, and validated. I specialize in treating my clients like they matter, are important & are worthy, no matter what they look like, sound like, or "seem" like. I'm also an expert in being a real human being and not a robot with automated responses who will "mhmm" you to death. My "approach" is understanding that I can't expect you to expose the deepest, darkest, most vulnerable parts of yourself to me if I remain a complete stranger to you. In our sessions, I want you to feel like you're with one of your best friends who you can trust, laugh and ugly-cry with. My only goal is to make you feel like you're not alone. Like you have someone in your corner who will fight for you, laugh with you, curse with you, and ugly-cry with you (I'm totally kidding, kinda, that part's negotiable).

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
