I'm Cindy, a psychotherapist dedicated to helping individuals find clarity, healing, and lasting change. I specialized in working with clients affected by addiction and their loved ones, depression, self-esteem, relationship challenges, and existential anxiety. You may feel stuck in repetitive patterns and/or negative self-beliefs and have a desire to heal. I do not judge; in time, you will feel that our sessions are a safe place to share yourself honestly. Whether you’re dealing with personal challenges or relationship issues, I aim to support you in building resilience and reconnecting with your authentic self. I would be honored to work with you on this journey.
In our first session, we’ll spend some time getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions to understand a bit about your history and the experiences that have brought you to therapy. This is a chance for me to hear about your goals and any challenges you’d like to address. It’s also an opportunity for you to get a feel for how I work and to ask any questions about the therapy process. By the end of the session, we’ll decide together if it feels right to move forward and continue working on your growth together.
I returned to school for my degree later in life. One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is the depth of understanding I bring to our work. With many years of life experience, I can genuinely relate to what my clients have been through and their challenges. This experience allows me to connect with empathy and insight, supporting clients in a way that respects their unique journey while offering a grounded, compassionate perspective to help them move forward.
In my practice, I use an eclectic treatment approach tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. Drawing from various therapeutic methods, I adapt my approach as the therapeutic process unfolds, allowing flexibility to address different challenges as they arise. This personalized approach enables me to shift between methods, such as cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and humanistic techniques, according to what will best support the client at a given time. By focusing on each client’s evolving needs, I strive to create a dynamic, responsive therapy experience that fosters meaningful, lasting growth.
In my practice, I integrate psychodynamic principles to help clients explore unconscious patterns and early life experiences that shape their current behaviors and beliefs. Many ways of thinking originate from messages learned at a young age and can hinder growth and authenticity. By gaining insight into these influences, clients become aware of self-defeating patterns, opening the door to change and healing. Through empathy and skilled listening, I guide clients toward self-awareness, empowering them to make conscious, healthier choices in their lives and relationships.
In my practice, I use a humanistic approach that prioritizes compassion and unconditional positive regard. This method focuses on personal growth, encouraging clients to embrace change through self-awareness and the courage to face all aspects of themselves—the positive and the challenging. I provide a non-judgmental, supportive space where clients feel safe to explore honestly and openly. As trust builds, clients often experience a profound sense of safety and acceptance, empowering them to pursue authentic growth and believe in their capacity for change.
In my practice, I use an existential approach to help clients explore life’s deeper questions and find meaning, purpose, and fulfillment. This includes guiding them to make peace with uncertainty and embrace personal responsibility for where they are today. Through self-acceptance, clients can uncover a sense of purpose that aligns with their values and beliefs, creating a more fulfilling, spiritually grounded life. This path fosters resilience and empowers clients to live authentically, even amid life’s challenges, by finding meaning in everyday moments and choices.
