What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session, we’ll take the time to get to know each other and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. The session will include an intake process where I’ll gather important information about your history, current challenges, and goals for therapy. This is a collaborative conversation, so you’re encouraged to share at your own pace and ask any questions about the process. Together, we’ll explore what brought you to counseling, identify areas you’d like to focus on, and begin outlining a plan tailored to your unique needs. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer understanding of what therapy with me looks like, and we’ll have taken the first steps toward creating a path for growth, healing, and positive change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to offer compassionate yet practical insights that help clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their challenges. I pay close attention to the details of each person's experience, noticing patterns and nuances that allow me to provide highly tailored support. I am deeply committed to fostering growth in my clients by creating a safe, supportive, and compassionate space where they can explore new perspectives and develop the practical skills they need to navigate life with greater resilience and fulfillment. My work is grounded in a values-oriented approach, helping clients align their actions with what truly matters to them in a practical and meaningful way.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that affect their emotions and behaviors. Together, we explore how these patterns influence daily life and develop strategies to reframe negative thinking, experiment with new behaviors, and build healthier habits. This process empowers clients to overcome obstacles, increase resilience, and foster personal growth in a practical and structured way.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Through ACT, I guide clients in cultivating psychological flexibility, allowing them to accept their thoughts and emotions while committing to actions aligned with their values. This approach helps clients move away from avoidance and toward a life of purpose and meaning. By integrating mindfulness and values-based exercises, ACT supports clients in growing beyond their struggles and embracing a fulfilling, values-driven life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Using DBT, I help clients develop skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. These skills are essential for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and navigating life’s challenges with greater balance. My goal is to empower clients to build a life worth living, where they can grow through challenges and feel confident in their ability to manage stress and emotions effectively.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

In ERP, I support clients in confronting fears and breaking free from cycles of avoidance and compulsive behaviors. By gradually exposing themselves to distressing situations or thoughts without engaging in unhelpful responses, clients build confidence and resilience. This process fosters growth by teaching clients that they can tolerate discomfort and uncertainty, ultimately reclaiming control over their lives.

Eclectic

Finally, I frequently adopt an eclectic approach, thoughtfully tailoring my methods to address the unique needs and circumstances of each client. By integrating a range of evidence-based techniques, I ensure our work aligns with your specific goals, values, and preferences. This adaptable, client-centered approach fosters holistic personal growth, addressing every aspect of your well-being and guiding you toward meaningful, lasting change.
