LCSW, 8 years of experience
New to Grow
Welcome, thank you for viewing my profile. Life can be overwhelming, and we may need extra support at times to navigate it. I am a clinical social worker with over 8 years of experience serving children, adults, and families. My goal is to provide a supportive and safe place for clients to work toward personal goals and improve their overall wellbeing. I strive to help clients feel safe to explore the difficulties they may be experiencing regarding issues like anxiety, depression, and coping skills. I utilize a warm, nonjudgmental, collaborative approach with clients to provide support while exploring these difficulties.
Together we will discuss your current concerns and identify your personal goals for therapy. From there we will identify strategies and interventions for you to meet those goals. We will build a therapeutic alliance and collaborate throughout treatment to ensure your needs and goals are being addressed.
My biggest strengths are using a nonjudgemental approach and listening to clients to ensure they have a safe place to process and share. I provide warmth and compassion to clients and collaborate with them on their goals.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults facing life transitions, anxiety, and stress. Anxiety and stress are feelings that everyone experiences, but when they get in the way of daily life it is important to address them. Together we build coping skills and strategies to address concerns. I have completed training with Postpartum Support International for perinatal mood disorders and have a special interest in helping people navigate the challenges of the perinatal experience. Some of these challenges include life adjustments, anxiety, and complex feelings surrounding the perinatal time period.
I have utilized CBT interventions with client throughout the last 8 years. These interventions have helped clients challenge unhelpful thinking patterns that get in the way of daily life. We use CBT strategies to identify how thoughts can impact your feelings and behaviors in different ways. We can utilize the power of thoughts to help change thinking patterns, feelings, and behaviors to decrease daily anxiety and stress.
I utilize an eclectic approach with clients. This allows me to provide support for a variety of challenges in a way that fits you the best. I use an eclectic approach to be client centered and strength based. I focus on tailoring treatment to you in order to help you reach your personal goals and build coping skills to address challenges.
