Hello! I am Myra Harris, MSW, LCSW, ADHD-CCSP. I am passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges while discovering their own strengths and resilience. Since graduating in 2012, I' ve worked in community mental health, gerontology, and school based social work, supporting individuals through a wide range of experiences.
I strive to create a warm, safe, and judgement-free space where you can be yourself, feel heard, and openly share what is on your mind. My approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and genuine connection, and I feel honored to walk alongside my clients as they work toward healing, Growth, and reaching their full potential while utilizing evidenced based therapy approaches to help guide therapy goals. During the school year I am a full time school social worker during the day so my availability is more limited during the school year and more open during the summer for therapy session times.
I have a dedicated 24 years of social services experience, with 15 years of psychotherapy experience. I started my career as a mentor for youth, in local non-for-profit programs. I then advanced to other comprehensive roles, with interchangeable titles, that ultimately focused on youth development and mentorship. I received my BA in Psychology at Purdue University & MA at the University of Chicago, School of Social Administration. Immediately, upon the end of graduate school, I began my experience with outpatient mental health therapy. Since, I have fulfilled a spectrum of diversified clinical roles, that include home-based, outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth therapy for vast developmental range- from early childhood to late adulthood. This includes specialty treatment with various therapy modalities, such as CBT, ACT, DBT, PST.
