About me

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Kentucky and Indiana with over 25 years of experience supporting adults through life’s most complex challenges. My work centers on mood disorders, addiction and recovery, sexuality, grief, and relationship dynamics. I offer a compassionate, down-to-earth approach that honors your story and helps you move toward clarity, resilience, and meaningful change. Whether you're navigating a relapse, loss, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to walk alongside you with care and intention.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take time to explore what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’re hoping to shift, heal, or understand more deeply. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to get a sense of your background, current challenges, and the strengths you already carry. We’ll begin to identify approaches that feel supportive and aligned with your goals. This is a space where you set the pace. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—just a steady, compassionate presence to help you feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I create a therapeutic space that feels safe, grounded, and emotionally attuned—where clients can show up fully and be met with compassion, not judgment. With over 25 years of clinical experience, I bring both depth and flexibility to the work, integrating evidence-based strategies with a personalized approach that honors each client’s unique path. My strength lies in building meaningful connections and helping individuals move through challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and a renewed sense of possibility.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I provide therapeutic support to adults navigating a wide range of emotional and relational challenges, including mood disorders, grief and loss, identity exploration, and addiction. My goal is to help clients develop effective coping strategies, deepen self-understanding, and build resilience in the face of life’s complexities. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, working through relationship struggles, grieving a loss, or seeking recovery for yourself or a loved one, I offer a compassionate, structured space to explore what healing looks like for you. Addiction may be part of the story—but it’s never the whole story. Through evidence-based practices, personalized guidance, and a supportive therapeutic environment, I help clients regain a sense of clarity, reconnect with their strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I primarily utilize a type of therapy called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), where we examine the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This approach helps individuals identify and change thought patterns that contribute to distressing emotions and behaviors. CBT is a very interactive type of therapy that utilizes structured exercises, whereby clients learn practical coping strategies to challenge unhelpful beliefs and develop healthier responses to life’s challenges. CBT is evidence-based and widely used to treat anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders by fostering self-awareness and resilience.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-Based Therapy helps individuals develop awareness of their thoughts and emotions without judgment, allowing them to respond to challenges with greater clarity and balance. Through practices like meditation, deep breathing, and mindful movement, clients learn to stay present and reduce automatic reactions that contribute to distress. This approach fosters resilience, emotional regulation, and overall well-being by encouraging acceptance and intentional responses to life’s difficulties.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps individuals manage intense emotions, build coping skills, and improve relationships. It combines mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness to support healthier decision-making and emotional balance. DBT is widely used to help people develop resilience and navigate life’s challenges with greater stability and awareness.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is a vital part of therapy that helps clients understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, empowering them to make informed decisions about their well-being. By learning about mental health concepts, coping strategies, and treatment approaches, clients gain insight into their challenges and develop practical skills to navigate them effectively. This process fosters self-awareness, reduces stigma, and promotes lasting growth by equipping individuals with knowledge to actively engage in their healing journey.
