Jessica Dozier
I am a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Northern Indiana area skilled in working with diverse adult populations. I specialize in trauma-informed care, using a strengths and evidence-based approach to manage anxiety, depression, co-dependency/ attachment issues, mood/ personality disorders, substance use, and more. As a LCSW, my goal is to help you heal, grow, and thrive. I'm looking forward to serving you in meeting your therapeutic goals.
I provide a compassionate, judgement-free space where we can work together to understand your challenges, build on your strengths, and create meaningful change.
First session
From the first session, I aim to leave new clients with a sense of rapport and safety. Initial sessions will be spent building a baseline of trust, identifying concerns, and establishing collaborative goals.
Strengths
I provide a compassionate, judgement-free space where we can work together to understand your challenges, build on your strengths, and create meaningful change. My goal is to meet you where you are at and walk with you side-by-side throughout the therapeutic process. Whether you are dealing with anxiety and depression, navigating a life transition, or working through trauma, I am here to support you every step of the way.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who is motivated for change, flexible and receptive to feedback/ new perspectives, and shows up consistently, ready to take active responsibility in the therapeutic process. We will be a great match if you are open-minded, ready to engage in self-reflection, and willing to communicate honestly while examining your thoughts and behaviors. My experience is working with adults who are prepared to take the next step in their mental health journey.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a structured, evidence-based form of psychotherapy that helps individuals identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT is designed to help individuals who experience and regulate emotions intensely. It balances acceptance (validating current reality and distress) with change (learning new skills to alter unhelpful behaviors).
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness therapy involves combining present-moment awareness and non-judgemental acceptance with psychological techniques such as thought observation, sensory grounding, and shifting perspective.
Integrative
Integrative therapy is a holistic form of psychotherapy that combines ideas and techniques from multiple therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness.
Strength-Based
A collaborative, goal-oriented approach that examines a client's personal values and past successes rather than centering on pathology or deficits. This approach focuses on an individual's strengths and how they can be used.
