About me

Hi! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, (LMHC) with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Indianapolis. I’ve been a practicing therapist for 9 years. I have experience with a variety of populations/age groups and presenting concerns. I’m integrative in my approach to treatment, but primarily work from Psychoanalytic theoretical orientation with my clients with emphasis on insight development and understanding patterning. I utilize other techniques associated with modalities in my practice such as CBT, EMDR and elements of DBT.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect to be met with support and validation. My primary focus in the initial session is gathering more information about your life experiences and learning more about how these inform your unique way of viewing yourself, others and the world.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I feel my greatest strengths as a therapist are holding a safe and affirming space for my clients to engage in self-exploration and development. During this process, I will help you to develop insight regarding patterning, exploring the root cause of your patterning, and assist you in developing new adaptive ways of interacting with yourself and others.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with young and middle aged adults who experience anxiety, trauma, relational and self-esteem/self-worth concerns.

My treatment methods

Psychoanalytic

I have been using this modality for several years. I use it with clients to assist them in identifying self-limiting patterns/beliefs/behaviors, gain insight related to the origin of these patterns/beliefs/behaviors and their impacts to help with the process of healing.

EMDR

I was recently trained in EMDR and utilize this with clients to assist them in processing their trauma and other mental health concerns. The purpose of EMDR is to address dysfunctionally stored memories, which result in mental health symptoms and impacts on functioning.
