Anxiety and depression can look different for everyone since we all have unique experiences. I'm here to listen to your unique story and help identify coping skills that are specific to your needs. I'm passionate about supporting individuals who feel sad or anxious due to low self-esteem, difficult transitions, loss/grief and trauma. Together, we can work on strategies to help you manage these difficult emotions. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in treating adults with symptoms of depression and anxiety. Overwhelming sorrow and fear can negatively impact physical health, mood, and emotional wellbeing. I believe in a holistic approach and I enjoy providing tools that can help with physical symptoms. I also provide techniques to manage worry and self-destructive thoughts. I focus on a person-centered approach building upon your strengths. I will always provide a safe, non-judgmental and empowering atmosphere. I look forward to a collaborate relationship working towards your goals.
During the first session, I will walk you through the intake process and help you feel at ease. I will ask questions to get to know you better. I will provide a safe environment for you to talk freely. We will talk about a diagnosis and establish treatment goals that you want to work on.
Clients said they feel at ease talking with me. I've also been told that I'm very supportive, compassionate, warm, empowering and nonjudgmental. I allow my clients to talk about anything they want to explore. I enjoy empowering my clients by helping change maladaptive behaviors and thinking patterns. I love sharing coping skills, grounding techniques and communication skills. I also enjoy tracking my client's progress so I can show them their areas of growth.
I use Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I enjoy helping people identify unhealthy thought patterns and find new solutions to situations.
