I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience mental wellness, feel confident in who they are, and live a life that reflects their true potential. Sometimes life's challenges, past experiences, and unexpected circumstances can make it difficult to recognize our own strength, value, and greatness.
I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience mental wellness, feel confident in who they are, and live a life that reflects their true potential.
My goal as a therapist is to help you reconnect with those parts of yourself while creating space for healing, growth, and meaningful change.
First session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and create an intentional space just for you. You do not have to have all the answers, know exactly where to start, or have everything figured out before we connect. Just come as you are. During our first session, we will explore what brings you to therapy, the challenges you may be experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our time together. We will also discuss your strengths, needs, and goals to help establish a foundation for our work together.
Strengths
I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and self-esteem concerns. I understand that seeking support can feel overwhelming, and I strive to create a safe, welcoming, non-judgmental space where you can show up as your authentic self. I approach therapy through a trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens, recognizing that your experiences, background, relationships, and environment all play a role in shaping your mental and emotional well-being. My hope is that you leave our work together feeling more empowered, emotionally equipped and confident in your ability to navigate life's challenges.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who recognizes that something in their life needs to change but struggles to figure out how to move forward. They may find themselves repeating the same patterns in relationships, battling self-doubt, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or depression, or struggling to break free from habits and mindsets that no longer serve them. They know they want something different, yet familiarity of what they have always known can make change feel uncomfortable, confusing, or even overwhelming.
Treatment methods
Faith-based therapy
I thoughtfully integrate a client's spiritual beliefs, values and practices into treatment when those beliefs are meaningful to them.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another-- and how changing unhelpful patterns can support meaningful change.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I use Trauma-Focused CBT to help clients understand how traumatic experiences may influence their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationship, and sense of self.
