New to Grow
My approach to therapy is laid-back, supportive, and straightforward. I want clients to feel comfortable being themselves while also being challenged when needed. My ideal client is an adult struggling with anxiety, panic, mood disorders, or feeling stuck in unhealthy patterns. I work best with people who want practical tools, a better understanding of themselves, and real changes they can carry into everyday life.
Above all, my approach is centered on being truly nonjudgmental. Whatever you’re struggling with, whatever choices you’ve made, or whatever thoughts you’re afraid to say out loud, you deserve a place where you can talk about them without fear of being judged. My role isn’t to tell you who you should be or make decisions for you. It’s to understand where you’re coming from, meet you where you are, and give you a space where you can be completely honest and still feel respected and supported.
The focus would be on learning how to handle strong emotions without feeling controlled by them. We would work on slowing down reactions, managing emotional highs and lows, handling urges, and finding healthier ways to get through difficult moments.
We would work on catching the thoughts that make anxiety or low moods worse and looking at whether those thoughts are actually accurate. The focus would be on reducing overthinking, challenging negative thinking, and finding healthier ways to respond to anxiety and changes in mood.
We would work on gradually facing situations or fears that anxiety has caused you to avoid. The focus would be on starting at a manageable level, learning how to stay with the anxiety instead of escaping it, and building confidence as those fears become easier to handle.
We would talk through areas where you feel stuck or unsure about making changes. The focus would be on figuring out what matters to you, what may be getting in the way, and finding your own reasons to move forward when depression or changes in mood make motivation difficult.
