I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience providing evidence-based, trauma-focused therapy to adults seeking emotional stability, personal growth, and meaningful change. In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship. We will spend time discussing what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from counseling. I may ask questions about your background, relationships, mental health history, and any past experiences with therapy to better understand your needs. You can expect the session to be collaborative, nonjudgmental, and paced at a level that feels comfortable for you. There is no pressure to share more than you are ready to discuss. My role is to listen, provide support, and help you begin identifying goals for therapy. We will also review important information such as confidentiality, boundaries, and how therapy works. By the end of the session, we will discuss next steps and determine how we can work together moving forward. Many clients leave the first session feeling relieved, heard, and more hopeful about the process.

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood. I balance warmth and empathy with a direct, structured approach that helps clients gain clarity and make meaningful progress. Clients often share that they feel both supported and challenged in ways that promote real change. I am highly skilled at helping clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and at translating insight into practical, actionable strategies. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT and DBT to support emotional regulation, boundary-setting, and healthier coping skills. My work is especially effective for clients who struggle with anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and feeling emotionally overwhelmed. Another key strength is my ability to tailor therapy to each individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I meet clients where they are, adapt interventions to their needs, and collaborate closely on treatment goals. Many clients report increased self-awareness, improved emotional stability, stronger boundaries, and a greater sense of confidence and control in their lives as a result of our work together.
