Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Indiana. I received my Master's degree from Indiana University Northwest and I have been practicing for 4 years. I have spent most of my career working with individuals who suffer from addiction. I have extensive experience working with individuals who have unresolved childhood trauma, anxiety, anger management, depression, adjustment issues, grief/loss, marital problems, and low self-esteem. Lastly, I have experience working with individuals who simply feel stuck and want greater fulfillment in life.
In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, then dive into more specific challenges you are facing and what you would like to get out of being in therapy. From there, we will develop a treatment plan to fit to your needs.
Having worked in addictions over the past 4 years, I have learned to address the root causes of problems and help individuals become more self-aware of their behaviors in response to their emotions. I have learned over the years that the addiction is just a symptom of something deeper. The same goes for individuals who suffer from a mental health disorder. Lastly, I believe my clients would say that I operate like a teammate that collaborates with them and allows them to lead in their own treatment. After all, I believe the client is the expert in their own life, I am just there to provide support and guidance along their journey.

I utilize this method to help clients think of perspectives that they have previously never thought of with questioning.
I use this treatment method to reframe negative thoughts so that they can adopt more positive and realistic perspectives. In addition, this treatment allows clients to better understand their behaviors in response to their emotions.
I utilize this treatment method to help couples engage in conflict resolution through communication. I have used this strategy to also help couples identify and communicate their needs to their partner in an effective and loving way. Lastly, I have used this strategy to help couples who have problems with intimacy and understanding each other's love languages.
In Grief Therapy, I provide support and a space for clients to process their feelings. Clients are invited to learn healthy coping skills through reflection, journaling, and participation in activities to keep the memory of their lost loved ones alive. I also partner with the client to address unresolved traumas and guilt in response to grief.
I utilize mindfulness practices to reduce the symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, and addiction. The main mindfulness practices include guided imagery, deep breathing, grounding, and meditation. This technique empowers the clients to utilize coping skills within themselves that they can use anytime, anywhere, and for any reason. It is one of the best skills that can bring immediate relief in a given moment physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
