About me

Hello! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Indiana. I earned my Master’s degree from Indiana University Northwest and have been practicing for the past four years. Much of my professional experience has been dedicated to supporting individuals struggling with addiction. In addition to addiction recovery, I have extensive experience working with clients facing unresolved childhood trauma, anxiety, anger management, depression, adjustment challenges, grief and loss, marital concerns, and low self-esteem. I also work with individuals who may feel stuck or unfulfilled and are seeking greater clarity and purpose in their lives. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and grounded in helping people move toward healing, balance, and personal growth.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll begin with brief introductions and then explore the specific challenges you’re currently facing, as well as your goals for therapy. Together, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and circumstances, setting the foundation for meaningful and effective work moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With over six years of experience in the field of addiction, I’ve learned the importance of addressing the root causes beneath the surface. Addiction, like many mental health challenges, is often a symptom of deeper emotional pain or unresolved issues. My work focuses on helping individuals build self-awareness, particularly around how their behaviors are shaped by their emotional experiences. Clients often describe me as a collaborative partner in their healing process. I approach therapy as a team effort—offering support, guidance, and clinical insight, while empowering clients to take the lead in their own treatment. I firmly believe that each person is the expert in their own life, and my role is to walk alongside them on their journey toward growth and healing.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best equipped to serve adults between the ages of 18 and 75 who are navigating challenges related to addiction, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, marital issues, anger management, and low self-esteem. I have a particular passion for supporting mothers and fathers who are struggling to balance the many demands of parenting. Additionally, I enjoy working with couples who are seeking healthier ways to resolve conflict or rebuild emotional and physical intimacy in their relationships.

My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

I use this approach to guide clients in exploring new perspectives they may not have previously considered, through thoughtful and reflective questioning.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I employ this treatment method to help clients reframe negative thoughts, enabling them to adopt more positive and realistic perspectives. Additionally, it supports clients in gaining a deeper understanding of how their behaviors are influenced by their emotions.

Couples Counseling

I utilize this treatment method to assist couples in resolving conflicts through effective communication. This approach also helps couples identify and express their needs to one another in a clear and compassionate manner. Additionally, I have successfully applied this strategy to support couples experiencing challenges with intimacy and to foster a deeper understanding of each other’s love languages.

Grief Therapy

In Grief Therapy, I offer compassionate support and a safe space for clients to process their emotions. Clients are encouraged to develop healthy coping skills through reflection, journaling, and meaningful activities that honor and keep the memory of their loved ones alive. Additionally, I collaborate with clients to address unresolved trauma and feelings of guilt related to their grief journey.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness practices to help reduce symptoms of anxiety, anger, depression, PTSD, and addiction. Key techniques include guided imagery, deep breathing, grounding, and meditation. These practices empower clients to access effective coping skills anytime and anywhere, fostering immediate relief on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. Mindfulness is a powerful tool that supports holistic well-being in the moment and beyond.
