New to Grow
Hi, my name is Tishina and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. For the past eight years, I've had the privilege of helping people navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood changes, and the challenges that come with everyday problem solving. I became a therapist because therapy changed my life. It helped me heal, find my voice, and believe in myself and now I'm passionate about offering that same support and hope to the people that I work with.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our initial sessions, I will ask questions to get to know you, your background, what brought you to therapy, and what you hope will change. There's no pressure to share everything at once, feel free to go at your own pace.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I offer a supportive, collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients can explore their experiences without judgement. I help clients better understand the emotional and relational patterns shaping their lives, while also developing practical tools to manage stress, regulate emotions, and make meaningful changes. Therapy with me is both reflective and active and we will work to build insight, while also focusing on skills that can be used in every day life.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal client is someone who appears capable on the outside but feels overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected on the inside. They may be struggling with anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, life transitions, or long standing patterns that no longer serve them. Often, they are insightful and self aware, yet find it hard to translate that insight into lasting change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My style is warm, honest, and solution focused. I used CBT to help clients build insight, learn new skills, and create meaningful changes in their lives. Clients often tell me they appreciate my open mindedness, my calm presence, and the down to earth way I show up in the room.
