I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over two decades of experience supporting adults through periods of stress, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when people feel truly seen, understood, and supported. I take a warm, collaborative approach to therapy and work to create a space that feels steady, thoughtful, and safe. I draw from psychodynamic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed perspectives to help clients better understand emotional patterns, strengthen coping skills, and navigate challenges with greater clarity and self-compassion. Many of the clients I work with are high-functioning and capable, yet feel overwhelmed or disconnected beneath the surface. Others are moving through significant transitions and are looking for support as they sort through emotions, relationships, or long-standing patterns. Therapy with me is paced intentionally and tailored to each individual’s needs, goals, and life circumstances. Clients often describe me as calm, supportive, and insightful. My goal is to help you feel grounded and supported while working toward meaningful, sustainable change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and to explore what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s been feeling challenging, any goals you may have, and what you’re hoping to gain from our work together. There is no expectation to share everything at once , we move at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive for you. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your experiences, background, and current stressors, while also leaving space for what feels most important for you to talk about. This session is as much about helping you feel at ease as it is about gathering information. You’re welcome to ask questions about my approach, therapy in general, or what ongoing sessions might look like. Together, we’ll begin to identify what feels most helpful and determine next steps that align with your needs and goals. Many clients leave the first session feeling a sense of relief and clarity, knowing they don’t have to navigate things alone. Online therapy offers comfort and convenience, allowing you to connect from your own space, without the stress of travel or interruption to your routine. You’ll find a blend of evidence-based practices and soul-centered reflection. Who am I now? What do I need? What’s next for me?
The treatment methods and tools I utilize
I do not have a cookie cutter approach to therapy. I use several different methods (Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Solution Focused) in working with people. One thing I can tell you, humans all have struggles and many of them are similar to what you are having. It is because of this, I can give you methods that work, because many of the other people I have worked with have tried them. No matter what you come to me with, together we will find an approach that works for you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I asked my client's how they would describe me as a therapist and this is what they had to say. "Jennifer is empathetic, respectful and authentic." "My therapist is very knowledgeable, supportive and caring. The best therapist!" "I never thought I could tell someone my real thoughts and feelings. I have and I am so glad." "I wouldn't be here if Jennifer hadn't grabbed my hand and showed me the way out. She saved my life." "At first I thought I just had anxiety. After we started working together I figured out that I had some scary things going on. Jennifer helped me to never feel alone and I felt like she knew just what to do."
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with adults who are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel helpful. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who manage responsibilities well on the outside, yet feel stressed, disconnected, or uncertain beneath the surface. Some clients come to therapy during periods of transition, changes in relationships, work, family roles, or identity. Others are navigating anxiety, emotional overload, or long-standing relational patterns that they want to better understand. Many are seeking a supportive space where they can slow down, reflect, and make sense of what they’re experiencing without feeling rushed or judged. My ideal clients are open to self-reflection and curious about understanding their emotions and patterns more deeply, even if they’re unsure where to start. You do not need to have everything figured out to begin therapy. A willingness to show up honestly and engage in the process is enough. I strive to meet clients where they are and tailor therapy to their unique needs, goals, and life circumstances.
