I am a board-certified Music Therapist and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 14 years of experience, serving clients across California and Colorado. My own journey informs my work: I grew up in California and built a successful business before transitioning my life to Colorado. I then spent two years as a digital nomad—traveling by car across the US and living abroad for 1.5 years—all while managing and growing my business. I understand how to maintain excellence while in motion, and I use an IFS-informed somatic and creative approach to help you find that same internal groundedness and freedom.

You might be reading this because you or someone else is suffering. Possibly the life you worked for is in jeopardy because of a relationship. Maybe you are missing out by staying on the sidelines. Sometimes no matter how hard you try, you keep finding yourself in the same place again and again…STUCK. You can break the unhealthy patterns. Unfortunately, you might have to experience pain and emptiness to get better. I hope that you find the support and help you need. To change, the hardest part is starting. Reading this could be your start. You need success to build the confidence to believe you can overcome whatever has been stopping you. Part of my approach is to help you understand and make peace with your past, which provides the foundation to improve your life. While clarifying your dream and vision for your future. As a practitioner my focus is transformation. With work and practice you can move into mental and emotional wholeness. You can live the life of your dreams! Through purposeful action, you can create the life you want. I desire to serve you as a support, coach, and guide in partnering with you into living the life you deserve.

My style is warm, curious, engaged, and down-to-earth. I’m not the kind of therapist who sits silently and occasionally asks, “How does that make you feel?” I’ll be right there with you—asking questions, noticing patterns, offering perspective, and sometimes bringing humor into the room when it feels right. I work especially well with thoughtful, self-aware people who have done a lot of thinking about themselves but still find themselves caught in patterns they can’t quite think their way out of. You may be successful and capable on the outside while privately struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, relationship patterns, or a persistent sense that something is missing. I also work with people who feel disconnected—from their emotions, their relationships, or even themselves. Sometimes that disconnection developed for very good reasons. If you learned early in life to stay in control, rely on yourself, push feelings aside, or keep others at a distance, those strategies may have helped you survive difficult experiences but now leave you feeling stuck or alone. My approach is grounded largely in Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment, mindfulness, and somatic work. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with you?” we get curious about what happened, what you learned to do to survive or belong, and what different parts of you may still be trying to protect. Our work is about more than understanding yourself. It’s about experiencing yourself differently—with more compassion, more choice, deeper connection, and less internal noise.

Life's pressures can leave you feeling like you're constantly running on a treadmill—anxious, overwhelmed, and disconnected from the person you want to be. If you're a young adult trying to navigate career, relationships, and your own sense of self, it’s easy to feel like you're falling short, even when you're doing your best. My name is Devin, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My own story as a mixed-race, genderqueer femme of Mexican and Laos ancestry isn't just a biography line—it's the lens through which I understand the world. It’s taught me how our identities, families, and communities shape our lives, often in complicated ways. I offer virtual therapy to young adults in California who are ready to explore these layers and find a more grounded, resilient path forward.

Congratulations on taking this major step towards seeking a higher quality of life, whether for yourself or a loved one! Though your situation is unique and will require targeted goals, these past several years have left many people feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, hopeless, helpless and/or “mentally foggy.” Sometimes, entire families are scrambling to figure out how to manage the ripple effect of one member’s mental illness, and how to help maintain a quality of life for everyone involved. As an EMDR trained CCTP-II therapist, I use a trauma-informed approach as the umbrella for helping clients with topics such as recovery from trauma, adjustment to major life changes, managing mood dysregulation, stabilizing activities of daily living, and implementing healthy coping skills. My primary areas of focus are grief and loss, family conflict, immigration/first gen/transgenerational trauma, divorce/blended families/change in status. and LGBTQ+ wellbeing/clients who are transitioning/the experience of parenting LGBTQ children. I believe strongly in the healing effects of connection, creativity, visualization and somatic work.

A little about me: I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who, come to find out, originally got into this field largely to figure myself out. If you’ve never heard that from a therapist before, it’s actually a pretty common thread among us, we often subconsciously step into healing others as a way to find healing within ourselves. About 22 years ago, I was diagnosed with Complex PTSD, and roughly 15 years ago, I received an OCD diagnosis. Having these two conditions overlap made things incredibly challenging throughout much of my life and if I’m being completely honest, navigating that balance can still have its moments today. But there’s something powerful about a wounded healer: we tend to want more for ourselves and for the people we serve than just standard, status-quo talk therapy. We dig deeper because we need real answers on a personal level, and once we find what works, we want to share it with the world.

Hi, I’m Norma Elia Luna, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the therapist behind Sol de Luna Therapy. I provide warm, collaborative, trauma-informed therapy that integrates attachment-focused and somatic perspectives. I believe the patterns we struggle with often make more sense when we understand what they have been trying to protect us from. In our work, we may explore how past experiences, relationships, emotions, and nervous system responses continue to shape the way you experience yourself and the people around you today. My goal is not simply to help you manage symptoms, but to help you understand yourself more deeply, reconnect with your own needs and strengths, and develop new ways of responding that feel more aligned with the life and relationships you want.

Hello and Welcome! I am a social worker who has been in the field for over 20 years. Early in my career, I was fortunate enough to work with a psychiatrist who believed there was more to treating mental health than medication. I participated in a training with him and I was transformed as a therapist. I was trained in the relaxation response and mindfulness meditation and using the body to help heal people who have had significant trauma and mental health challenges. From there, I went on to get my yoga teaching certification from Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Since then, I have been helping children, adolescents and adults learn more about themselves and help them connect with the truest part of themselves. I believe my purpose is to help people learn to love themselves. I lived in CA for a long time and still hold my LCSW license. I was fortunate enough to study with a number of teachers at Spirit Rock Meditation Center who have influenced my work. I blend a number of different frameworks into my practice including trauma-informed CBT, DBT, somatic psychotherapy and self-compassion. I am mindful and respectful of all differences (racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, economic, gender, sexual orientation, ability etc.) and strive to understand each person within the context of their life history. Every person who seeks treatment has unique needs and goals. I strive to work collaboratively with you to keep your goals at the center of our work together. I stand in solidarity with the BIPOC community and all those impacted by systemic racism and oppression. I will uphold my own values and ethics and support all those who are speaking out against injustice of any kind. As a therapist, I am committed to creating a safe space for all.

Hello and Welcome! I’m grateful you’re here and choosing to prioritize yourself, even if it didn’t feel easy to take this step. A little bit about me: I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 16 years of clinical experience working with people across a wide range of life challenges from anxiety, depression, and chronic stress to relationship struggles, health issues, chronic illness or pain, life transitions, parenting pressures, and trauma recovery. I’ve supported clients in individual, couples, family, and group settings. Many of the clients I work with are used to being the strong one, the one that holds everything together for everyone else... but who don’t often have space to tend to their own needs. In our work together, we’ll slow things down enough to understand what’s been weighing on you and why sometimes it feels so hard to move forward. Therapy with me is practical, supportive, and focused on helping you feel more grounded, steady, and confident in your day-to-day life. We’ll work on quieting the critical inner voice, easing anxiety and stress, and creating space for choices that feel more aligned with who you are and what you need right now. If you’re ready for support that feels warm, thoughtful, and real... and a place where you don’t have to hold everything together... I’d be honored to walk alongside you :)

My approach is client-centered and collaborative, rooted in the belief that healing begins by recognizing and building on each person’s unique strengths. Through hope-inducing relationships, goal-oriented work, and compassionate support, I help individuals identify problem areas that may be trauma or may be something they did not know they could change. We give it a felt sense, validate it, understand it and how it fits or doesn't fit in their life and brainstorm methods to help. We can discuss boundaries, self-awareness building skills, and work slowly. We can also gently discuss things that have been traumatic and process moments in small segments that will help build more inner strenghts and resources, beyond trauma, and toward empowered, meaningful change. My strengths are with sensitive, empathic, individuals struggling to find their voice. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I specialize in trauma-informed care, drawing from EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), somatic techniques and strength-based approaches to support lasting healing and growth. I am EMDRIA-trained. I also hold certificates in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy utilizing Internal Family Systems Parts Works (inner ecosystem perspectives), and Somatic EMDR Therapy, which allow me to help clients reconnect with their bodies, identify stored trauma, and restore a sense of presence and safety.

Hi, I’m Ruthie. I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist, a second-generation Pinay, a mother, and someone who understands what it can feel like to carry a lot of different roles at once. As a daughter, partner, mother, therapist, and business owner, I know that who we are is shaped by our relationships, our families, our culture, and the expectations we carry. Sometimes, we become so accustomed to showing up for everyone else that we lose touch with what we need for ourselves. My work as a therapist is rooted in the belief that understanding yourself means looking beyond the individual. It means making sense of the experiences, relationships, and systems that have shaped you, without losing sight of your own agency in deciding what comes next. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a systemic perspective to our work together. I want to understand not just what you're struggling with, but how you got here, what you've been carrying, and what you want your life to look like moving forward. You don't have to come to therapy with everything figured out. You don't need the right words or a clear plan. We can start wherever you are. Together, we'll make space to understand yourself more deeply, navigate the relationships and expectations that feel complicated, and explore what it means to build a life that feels more aligned with who you are and who you're becoming. You can want more without doing more. Let's make room for it.

To me, therapy is most meaningful when it begins with curiosity rather than judgment. The most important relationship you have is the one with yourself. Therapy is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with who you are, and create meaningful change in your life. I believe that every person’s story deserves to be met with compassion, curiosity, and understanding. I specialize in supporting women navigating life transitions, anxiety, trauma, motherhood, identity changes, and reproductive mental health challenges, including infertility, pregnancy loss, IVF, and the complex emotions that can accompany the path to parenthood. I understand how deeply these experiences can impact your sense of self, relationships, and overall well-being. I also have experience supporting individuals through Sutter Health’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP), helping clients navigate work-related stress, burnout, life changes, relationship challenges, and personal struggles while balancing the demands of everyday life. My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive space where clients can gain clarity, develop effective coping strategies, and reconnect with their strengths. My approach is warm, authentic, and trauma-informed. Together, we will explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical coping strategies, process difficult experiences, and build a stronger connection with yourself. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you feel empowered to heal, grow, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and self-compassion.

Kelli is a trauma informed yoga teacher, writer, Land protector, Kundalini and Vishoka meditation practitioner, and mother of 4. Trained by Gabor Maté and Sat Dharam Kaur in the Compassionate Inquiry process, Kelli's intention as a psychotherapist is to bring awareness to all facets of ourselves. When we witness these parts with compassion, we become whole, liberated, and restored to our True Nature. As we become more present and connected with ourselves, there is safety and space for authentic expression through our body, psyche, life, and community. Kelli specializes in Complex Trauma; "a psychic wound that hardens you psychologically and then interferes with your ability to grow and develop. It pains you and now you're acting out of pain. It induces fear and now you're acting out of fear. Trauma is not what happens to you, it's what happens inside you as a result of what happens to you." This is often revealed through symptoms of depression, anxiety, and addiction. Our emotions are not tangential to our health. They are a signaling intelligence that can alert us to all sorts of phenomenon in our experience.

Hello , I am a licensed social worker based in Ohio. And I also am licensed in California. I have been practicing for close to 40 years, so have a great deal of professional and life experience, that I can apply to my work with clients. I am motivated to help adults of any age, move forward with their lives. And also there to help clients develop healthy skills that they can utilize, to become their "best selves." My approach tends to be more SHORT TERM and Solution Focused. I also see myself as a life coach for many of my clients. I am a regular practitioner of yoga and meditation and enjoy bringing elements of these practices into my work as well. I also love animals and enjoy hiking and biking in nature. *I do not work with clients who have HIGH RISK CONCERNS, such as recent suicidality, recent psychiatric hospitalization, domestic violence or substance abuse issues. Since I feel clients managing these issues, are better served seeing providers in a traditional office setting with more wrap around services. Clients who book with me presenting with these high risk concerns will have to be referred out by me to other providers or more appropriate resources in their community.

I am invested in helping you recognize thinking and (in)action patterns that hold you back or help you flourish. You may gain clarity about attitudes and beliefs informing everyday behaviors. Building motivation and tapping into innate resilience is a major part of the healing journey. The focus can be on lowering stress, increasing safety and security in relationships, and developing healthy self-esteem. This involves exploring current coping and refining skills for various situations and settings. Over time and with practice, you may become more flexible and responsive. You may feel more readiness for new and harder challenges. A gentle exploration of trauma, which is all too often a major source for present distress, is part of the work.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected—whether from past trauma, grief, or relationship challenges—you’re not alone, and change is possible. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults of all ages who are navigating trauma, relational rupture, and loss. Many of the patterns that feel difficult today once helped you cope or stay safe. In therapy, we’ll work to understand those patterns, build tools for regulation, and create space for healing and growth. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to you. I use evidence-based practices including EMDR and somatic therapy to help process difficult experiences and support nervous system regulation—so you can feel more grounded, connected, and in control.

Hi! I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's in Counseling Psychology with a specialty in somatic, or body-oriented, psychology. I also have a Master's in Creative Writing, and lived as a lay monk in a Zen monastery in Japan. I help motivated young and middle-aged adults who tend to live "in their heads" become more composed, resilient, and effective in living according to their values. This is a problem common to folks with relationship challenges, PTSD, dissociation, anxiety, and mood disorders.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Pasadena, passionate about helping people move past the patterns that make them feel "stuck." As an Asian American therapist, I understand the unique pressures of navigating cultural expectations, family dynamics, and the pursuit of success. Life often feels like a constant cycle of trying to keep up—with professional demands, relationships, or heavy expectations. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to "perform" or have all the answers. Instead, we can slow down and really look at what’s happening beneath the surface of your life. I work with introspective individuals ready for deeper change. Many of my clients are high-achievers who have "made it" on the outside, but internally battle feelings of shame, people-pleasing, or boundary struggles. Whether you’re processing complex family history, navigating identity challenges, or feeling burnt out, I’m here to walk alongside you. My approach blends two core principles: understanding your history and listening to your body. I use an intersubjective approach, which means we work together—using our relationship as a window into how you connect with the world. I also integrate the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) to help you get more comfortable in your own skin. This is about more than just insight; it’s about learning to calm your nervous system so you can navigate life without feeling constantly on edge. Ultimately, I want to help you move toward a life that feels authentically yours. By bringing hidden patterns into the light, we can reclaim your stability and freedom. You don’t have to carry the weight of the past alone.

Hello! My name is Olivia, I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and am dedicated to supporting people heal from C-PTSD and regain the ability to feel the full spectrum of their emotions and aliveness. I love supporting people to feel safe in their bodies and heal from childhood trauma that is holding them back from being fully present in their lives now. Trauma does not have to be a life sentence, healing is possible and I can be there to support you every step of the way. All parts of you are welcome here, you can show up exactly as you are. I believe therapy should be a place where you can take off your mask and be real about your pain, what has happened to you and what you long for. I was called to this work after beginning my own healing journey and I trust in the innate capacity each one of us has for wholeness, joy and a life worth living. It takes a lot of courage to reach out and ask for help and I am honored to meet you in this moment and walk alongside you on your healing journey. You don't have to do this alone. I have a Masters Degree in Integral Counselling Psychology from the Institute of Integral Studies which specialized in cultivating healing at the level of mind, body and spirit. In my free time you can find me dancing, playing harp or hand pan, hiking, practicing yoga, making art or being with my loved ones. I recharge by meditating and spending time in nature. I am queer and experienced with working with the queer community and with people living alternative lifestyles such as non-monogamy.

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in California. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across California from San Francisco to San Diego! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in California.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
