Hi, I'm James. I believe therapy should ultimately help create meaningful change. What change looks like is different for everyone. Whether you're beginning therapy for the first time, returning after time away, or realizing that something in your life isn't working the way you'd like, I would be glad to explore that with you. As a Marriage and Family Therapist and Supervisor with 15 years of experience, I've had the privilege of working with people across a wide range of backgrounds, and levels of need. Much of my career has been spent serving and leading in community mental health, where I saw how our mental health can be shaped not only by our history, but by our families, communities, cultures, and the world around us. I am comfortable working with experiences that are often described as "high acuity," including significant trauma, depression, anxiety, and psychosis. I am equally interested in the quieter things that can make life harder than it needs to be, like the nagging doubts, persistent insecurities, difficult relationships, or old patterns that no longer serve you. Whatever brings you here, you don't need to have it figured out before we begin. My role is to listen, take your experiences seriously, and work alongside you to better understand what's happening and to facilitate change. I will honor your story and your pace while helping you move toward change that feels meaningful and authentic to you.

Hi. My psychotherapy practice serves individual adults who feel stuck in old, negative patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior linked to childhood trauma. My perspective is that childhood trauma can have a lifelong impact on the ability of people to like, accept, and have compassion for themselves; to feel personal and social competence; to feel, express, and regulate their emotions; to be vulnerable, honest, and communicative in relationships; to take risks at work and in relationships; and to find meaning, satisfaction, and joy in life. If you have struggled for years to function in one or more of these areas due to identifiable childhood trauma, you are welcome to set up an initial appointment. The most common emotional problems connected to childhood trauma are depression, anxiety, and OCD. Prior to the appointment, it's best that we speak on the phone to determine if we are a good match.

Is this the first time you thinking about having therapy? Let's talk about what therapy is and is not. Tell me your expectations. Therapy is in part, talking about how you are feeling whether you have depression, anxiety, or feel overwhelmed by your work, family or relationships or by all three . But that is just the beginning. My name is Judith Copeland, I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I want to help you achieve the positive changes would you like to see in your life. Do you feel you cannot cope, have no self-esteem or don’t even know what will make you happy? Together we will uncover your strengths and you will learn the skills you need to better manage your emotions. I use several treatment methods including, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Integrative Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to tailor your care to your specific needs. We will explore what is holding you back from achieving your goals and help you heal from past traumas. You will learn how your negative beliefs influence your mood and get in the way of your happiness. Often, we forget that everything is connected. Mind, Body, and Spirit. We need to take care of ourselves physically, psychologically, and spiritually. We often don’t really understand how deeply connected they are to our well-being. I will help you learn that self-care is just as important and or even more important as everything else you do. We have within ourselves the ability to create the life we want and become the person we want to be. I would like to support you on this journey and look forward to meeting you.

I am a dedicated and highly motivated client-focused Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California. Therapy does not have to be dry, boring, or scary and it's okay to have fun in therapy. We all share in the HUMAN EXPERIENCE! So I may not have the same experiences as you, however, I know what feels like to make mistakes, experience hurt, love, loss, pain, and fear. I also know what it’s like to rebuild myself and have success again. Everyone experiences a range of thoughts, feelings, emotions, and situations that shape and mold us. Therefore, working with people, in their time of need motivates me to assist them in finding balance in their lives. (*If you are ordered by the courts to attend therapy then you would need to find another clinician as I do not do court appointed therapy. Also, if you are dealing with suicidal ideations or self-harm I do not specialize in that and would direct you to clinicians that are best suited to assist you. Thank you for your understanding).

I believe that therapy can be Fun, Inspiring, and Healing (with hopefully some good LAUGHS if possible.) As a child, I was put on academic probation twice, expelled at one point, and even attended military school. My life/travel experiences (volunteered in an orphanage in Nepal, worked at Mother Teresa's House for the Destitute and Dying in Calcutta, India, photographed the Rohingya genocide in Bangladesh), have shaped and informed my humanity to serve clients as a therapist now.

Hello, i'm Randy. Despite having the title of being a therapist, I believe that no matter how many years of work experience a therapist has, and no matter how many credentials/degrees a therapist has, all of that goes out the window if they don't have the ability to click and level with their clients. Initiating therapy services may feel like a leap of faith; as one would have to initiate a process in which they will be meeting with a therapist who is a complete stranger to them in the beginning. So congratulations on taking the first step for seeking treatment ! I have worked with a variety of clientele throughout my career in the mental health field; which consisted of 3 years of working with adults, and 3 years of working with children/adolescents aged 3-17, as well as the adult population. My goal is to provide support to adults who are experiencing difficulties reaching their full potential in life due to both internal and external hardships.

It never ceases to amaze me just how often I have to try to convince others that they are worthy SIMPLY because they exist. This includes you! I want to know who communicated to you that you are not enough and why you value the opinion of said person(s); these types of harmful beliefs are learned, not innate. Let's unlearn them together. Most of my early clinical work has been with children and adolescents with focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, trauma and various behavioral and emotional issues. I have worked in high-intensity and high-crisis environments from school to hospital settings. I am passionate about working with and creating a safe space for folks who belong to BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. I understand that belonging to a marginalized/oppressed group can result in barriers to achieving and maintaining optimal mental health. I am a cis/het woman doing my best to provide care that is equitable and gender-affirming. I'm always learning and growing as an ally; you will always be safe here. I am also always looking at things through a trauma-informed lens. I'm a busy working parent who understands how hard it can be to do it all. I am currently pursuing a certification in treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders to be able to better support soon-to-be and new parents; this particular journey is no joke! Hi! First, I want to thank you for visiting my page and giving me an opportunity to see how my therapeutic style can assist you with reducing your distress and increasing your life satisfaction. I am so honored that you have decided to review my profile and see if I am a good fit for your journey. I have been working as a therapist with a variety of mental health disorders and systemic family dynamics since 2015. I initially pursued a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and decided that was an unfulfilling career direction for me. Upon deciding to pursue a master’s degree, I decided to pursue the MFT field. Becoming and MFT was the career goal I had as a teenager, so you could say that pursuing the field is a lifelong dream come true. My methods of therapy are person led. I like to provide space, and safety to assist you with addressing the reasons you made the brave choice to pursue therapy. I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). It is a gentle, evidenced based method that uses mindfulness and increases coping skills to assist with achieving therapeutic goals. Additionally, I utilize the technique of Brainspotting that assists with deeper, difficult to resolve trauma. I am LGBTQ+ affirming therapist. I work with clients who are questioning, in their transition process, as well as those who are working on their mental health unrelated to their sexual and gender orientation. If necessary, I can consult with you if you need me to provide gender affirming letters when required for insurance and surgical and hormonal procedures. I really appreciate the time that you took to read through all this information, and I hope that it helps you make an informed decision.

I’m Allan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy—especially for kids—doesn’t have to mean sitting on a couch talking about feelings for 50 minutes. Sometimes the best conversations happen over LEGOs, games, art, play, or while doing something that makes it easier to simply be yourself. Online, it could mean processing trauma, playing online therapeutic games with children (or adults if you want to). I especially enjoy working with children and teens, including kids who are anxious, overwhelmed, navigating trauma, struggling with big emotions or behaviors, or having a hard time putting what’s happening inside into words. I use play, creativity, humor, and evidence-based approaches to build connection and help kids develop skills without therapy feeling like another place where adults are telling them what to do. I also work with adults navigating trauma, mood concerns, relationships, identity, major life changes, and life’s more complicated chapters. My style is warm, humorous, direct, and genuinely human. I draw from DBT, EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, play-based interventions, Theraplay-informed practices, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care, adapting therapy to the person in front of me rather than expecting them to adapt to therapy. My professional experience includes inpatient psychiatry, juvenile justice, child welfare, family services, and community mental health, so I’m comfortable working with both everyday struggles and situations that feel especially complicated. Whether we meet in my Eureka office or online, my goal is to create a space where you—or your child—feel safe, understood, and comfortable showing up exactly as you are. My practice is LGBTQIA+ and gender-diverse affirming and neurodiversity-affirming. And yes, there are credentials behind the LEGOs.

Thank you for stopping by! A little about myself. I have a virtual office for California clients and a physical office in Salem, Oregon for in-person sessions. My virtual and in-office hours are typically Monday through Thursday, 10am-6pm, as well as during out of office hours for emergencies. I am a mother to three adult children, a Nana to 5 and dog mom to 2 Jack Russel's. I grew up in foster care and was adopted in my teens. That path led me through my own therapeutic journey as I struggled with depression and anxiety. As I found wellness, I launched into social work professionally to support youth and families, and eventually here, as a licensed therapist. I have been working with Individuals and families in various therapeutic settings for over 25 years, supporting those who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, attachment/bonding issues, life stage challenges, and relationship conflicts to name a few. I find myself continually in awe of the resilience of the human spirit. I am honored with the trust my clients offer me as they process thoughts and feelings around their challenges as we journey together to find answers that make sense and solutions that work.

Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles and Fresno California. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and have been practicing for the past 8 years. I work with adults and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, gender dysphoria, life transitions, and identity-related stressors. Much of my clinical experience has centered on supporting underserved communities of color within correctional facilities, psychiatric hospitals, and community mental health settings. I am especially passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals, including queer and trans people of color, and have experience facilitating LGBTQ+ support groups as well as collaborating within gender-affirming care teams. My approach is grounded in cultural humility, authenticity, and creating a space where clients feel seen, affirmed, and empowered in their healing journey. I strive to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with their sense of self and community.

Hello! I am Dr. Efrain Zepeda. I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Social Worker. In the past 23 years of working as a mental health professional, one important lesson I have learned is that the most powerful therapeutic intervention is found in the interpersonal experience that occurs in the client-therapist relationship. Together we can analyze the past to co-create a new meaning to achieve healing. I strongly believe that therapy is not about labeling or judging, but rather about personal discovery.

Admitting we need help is difficult for most of us. Admitting we need mental health help, even more challenging. Taking the right step towards obtaining that help, can also be a struggle; but you are here and I applaud you for it!! Whether it is a long or recent battle with depression, anxiety, relationship problems, traumatic experience or other mental health illness, know that there is help and there is hope. Whether you know it or not, you’re the real expert here and I am here to provide extra tools and guidance on how to use these. I truly believe the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is an essential foundation in the treatment outcome. If you don’t have a connection with the therapist, the process to getting better might not be as effective. Hi! Hola! I’m Josefina “Fina”, Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Central California with more than 15+ years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults in various settings including crisis, schools, residential, inpatient and outpatient clinics. I offer a safe space, without judgment, to be vulnerable and open about any past or current struggles and help you sort out what’s needed to move forward. I use a variety of techniques including solution-focused, cbt and motivational interviewing and have some DBT training as well. I am committed to you and the profession and look forward to working together and help you get back to where you want to be.

As a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), I specialize in supporting first-generation individuals and those who have experienced trauma, postpartum, anxiety, depression, and family challenges. My therapeutic approach integrates client-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic work to offer a holistic and personalized treatment plan that addresses both the mind and body. I deeply value creating a safe, collaborative, and empathetic space where clients feel heard and supported. My goal is to help clients process past experiences, gain self-acceptance, and build empowerment and confidence. I believe that therapy is a partnership, and I work closely with clients to explore their feelings, foster self-awareness, and help them develop the tools to thrive in their relationships—with themselves, their families, and their partners. Over the past 6 years, I have had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages, with a particular focus on first-generation immigrants. I offer services in both English and Spanish and find great fulfillment in helping clients navigate the unique pressures and challenges that come with balancing multiple cultural identities.

Welcome! I’m Lanelle P. Laws, LMFT. For over 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping people navigate trauma, incarceration, depression, anxiety, and LGBTQ+ identity. My passion is empowering individuals to build self-esteem, reclaim their voice, and thrive. I offer a warm, non-judgmental, comfortable, and encouraging environment grounded in a BIPOC-centered approach. What makes my work different is that I bring both professional expertise and lived experience. I understand what it means to need help and not always feel seen, understood, or represented within the mental health system. I have dedicated my life to breaking generational cycles of trauma and bringing awareness to the experiences of underserved and marginalized communities. I believe healing begins with awareness...understanding our stories, recognizing our patterns, acknowledging our wounds, and discovering the strengths and power we already possess. I always say, “I’m not your average therapist!” Not because I’m better, but because my approach has been elevated to reach individuals who may have fallen through the cracks or developed an unhealthy relationship with therapy. I believe therapy should be a space where you can be honest about where you’ve been, explore where you are, and become intentional about where you want to go. I know what it feels like to need help and not always know where to find it. That understanding is at the heart of my work. At Heal(Thy) Self Wellness, healing is more than getting through...it’s getting to know yourself, understand your story, and reclaim your power. Know Your Story. Heal Your Wounds. Own Your Wellness.

Yes! If you use Independence Blue Cross you’ll be asked to verify your Member ID at the time you book the appointment. However, if you don’t have Independence Blue Cross you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
