Margaret Poytress
My name is Margaret "Marj" Poytress, LMFT. My approach is to be present with you and witness as you process, learn, grow, and develop into your true self. My therapeutic approach focuses on validating, teaching, empathy, and compassion. I will help facilitate change as you work towards achieving your therapy goals.
I have been told I have a calm presence which has been useful in helping people stay regulated through crises and process heavy emotions.
I’m dedicated to helping you discover your best life.
First session
The first session is both an informal "getting to know you" conversation and continuing to gather information about what you are looking for in therapy. I provide a safe space where we will work together on your journey. I want my clients to feel heard, affirmed, and respected.
Strengths
I am curious and love building connections. I have been told I have a calm presence which has been useful in helping people stay regulated through crises and process heavy emotions. I maintain a neutral non-judgmental environment for you to express yourself.
Ideal clients
