New to Grow
Hello, hello! My name is Tiphanie. I am an EMDR trained LCSW who is bicultural and bilingual in English and French. If you are looking for a supportive space to navigate feelings of depression, anxiety or overwhelm, a space to self-reflect, or address cycles of self-sabotage, let’s meet. I value holding a safe, creative, and inclusive space for healing invisible wounds. In my practice, I draw from trauma-informed care, client-centered approaches, culturally and racially responsive lenses, as well as LGBTQIA+ affirming modalities.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
If you are ready to put your intention into your mental health and emotional well-being, reach out! Life is precious, and you deserve to truly and fully be the best version of yourself.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
In me, you will find someone who cares; someone who will meet you where you are and as you are.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I especially seek to serve BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+ adults who may be navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression and/or trauma. My primary approach to therapy is collaborative, and I aim to accompany you on your journey to heal from your past, reconnect with yourself, and live in the present. In my practice engage my clients with an understanding of the broader social and systemic contexts that shape their experiences, while also staying grounded in self-reflexivity and accountability. As a musician and graphic novel enthusiast, I also like to incorporate creative and tailored therapeutic tools in my sessions.
EMDR
I have been using EMDR for over 2 years mostly to support my clients who experience PTSD, depression and anxiety. I have used this modality successfully to reduce the distress associated to traumatic memories.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is one of the modalities I use to engage my clients in reframing negative thinking patterns. I have been working with clients using CBT to help them identify and explore their negative core beliefs, and understand how they affect their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Change is possible, if you are ready to do the work. Don't be intimidated, I'll be with you during the whole process.
