Hello! My name is Tiphanie. I am an EMDR trained LCSW who is bicultural and bilingual in English and French. If you are looking for a supportive space to navigate feelings of depression, anxiety or overwhelm, a space to self-reflect, or address cycles of self-sabotage, let’s meet. In my practice, I draw from trauma-informed care, client-centered approaches, culturally and racially responsive lenses, as well as LGBTQIA+ affirming modalities. I also value holding a safe, creative, and inclusive space.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session we will discuss what brings you to therapy and identify some of the challenges you are experiencing. This will inform the creation of a treatment plan as well as the modalities that we will utilize in our subsequent sessions, which we will revisit as I continue to work with you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I draw from a variety of modalities, including EMDR, CBT, and mindfulness practices. I also like to incorporate creative reflective writing and other tailored therapeutic tools in my sessions. In my practice, I engage my clients with an understanding of the broader social and systemic contexts that shape their experiences, while also staying grounded in self-reflexivity and accountability. In me, you will find someone who cares; someone who will meet you where you are and as you are.

I especially seek to serve BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+ adults who may be navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression and/or trauma. My primary approach to therapy is collaborative, and I aim to accompany you on your journey to heal from your past, reconnect with yourself, and live in the present. My treatment methods

EMDR

I have been using EMDR for over 2 years mostly to support my clients who experience PTSD, depression and anxiety. I have used this modality successfully to reduce the distress associated to traumatic memories.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is one of the modalities I use to engage my clients in reframing negative thinking patterns. I have been working with clients using CBT to help them identify and explore their negative core beliefs, and understand how they affect their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Change is possible, if you are ready to do the work. Don't be intimidated, I'll be with you during the whole process.
