New to Grow
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families through a variety of life challenges. I have been practicing in school-based setting for over 6 years, helping clients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful personal growth. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I value truly listening to what each client hopes to achieve. My role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space while equipping clients with practical skills to manage daily challenges and move confidently toward their personal goals. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish and am committed to providing culturally responsive care where clients feel understood and supported. I pride myself on developing strong, authentic relationships with my clients and consider it an honor to be included in their healing journey. My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal oriented.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is centered on helping you feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely understood. We’ll begin by getting to know each other and making sure you feel at ease with both the space and the therapy process. I’ll review important information about confidentiality and your rights as a client, and provide a clear, straightforward overview of how I work without pressure or expectations to share more than you’re ready to. From there, I’ll take time to learn about you, what has been weighing on you, what has helped (or not helped) in the past, and what you hope to gain from therapy. We’ll explore your background and current concerns so I can better understand how to support you in a way that feels meaningful and practical.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What stands out about my approach is the balance between warmth, cultural responsiveness, and practical skill-building. I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel genuinely heard and supported while also gaining tools they can use in everyday life. I tailor therapy to each client’s unique goals, so our work feels both meaningful and effective.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to support teens, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, school or work stress, emotional regulation challenges, and life transitions. As a bilingual therapist, I also support individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds, including first-generation families balancing multiple expectations and identities. Wherever you are in your journey, we can work together to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and confident in your ability to move forward.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Using CBT, I help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge negative self-talk, and replace it with more balanced, realistic perspectives. We also focus on developing coping strategies and behavioral changes that support emotional regulation and goal achievement.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I also incorporate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) into my work, which focuses on strengths, progress, and what is already working in a client’s life. It allows clients to recognize their own resilience and strengths while developing practical strategies they can apply right away. My goal with SFBT is to help clients feel hopeful, capable, and confident in their ability to create positive change.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills into my work, particularly with clients who experience intense emotions, anxiety, mood shifts, or difficulty in relationships. In sessions, I help clients learn how to slow down and become more aware of their emotional responses, manage overwhelming feelings without reacting impulsively, and communicate their needs more effectively. We practice concrete tools that can be used in real-life situations; whether that’s coping with stress, setting boundaries, or navigating conflict.
