Hi there, I'm Bridget, Our world is a busy and ever-changing place. With these changes can come stressors that can lead to anxiety, depression and interpersonal struggles. Do you find yourself unable to focus, or maybe struggling to enjoy things you once loved? Sometimes, we all need a place to be heard and understood. Sometimes, we just need some space to share and explore our own emotions in a non-judgemental and unbiased space. There is no "one size fits all" approach to therapy, I am honored to have the opportunity to work with you to achieve your goals and find peace. I practice an open, empathic approach to therapy using multiple different evidence-based modalities to help find a good fit for you as an individual. Reaching out for help can be difficult and takes a great deal of strength, I am so glad you are here and taking these first steps. Whether you are dealing with interpersonal struggles, depression, anxiety, trauma, life stressors or other concerns, I will meet you with compassion and understanding, and walk alongside you on this journey to healing and growth.
the first session is a big step, and can be anxiety provoking, especially not knowing what to expect. I offer a safe, warm, open and comfotable space for you to ask questions you may have about the theraputic process as well as any questions you may have for me. I like to use this time to allow for getting to know one another and to begin to build the trust and safety, building rapport that is so important to the theraputic process. This space is for you and I allow you to lead the session, offering guidance and direction as needed as we get to know one another and work to set forth goals to work towards together as a team.
I am passionate about working with individuals to better their lives and work through struggles that may arise in life. I enjoy working with individuals from all walks of life. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults and have a passion for assisting those who may be experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety and the results of trauma. I have spent considerable time working with military personnel and their families as well as first responders and families.
I enjoy working with many different populations of people from all walks of life! This includes adults, adolescents, those struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD and other mental health struggles. I have experience working with veterans and first responders and work closely with the LGBT community.
I utilize multiple different techniques and work with each person individually to find what works best for you as an individual person. CBT is a commonly used technique that explores the relationship between feelings and actions in life. This can be hugely helpful in exploring the relationship between how we feel about ourselves and how this presents in our day to day life.
