Marissa is a Bilingual Spanish speaking Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 7 years of experience working with young adults and adolescents in outpatient clinic and in a crisis setting providing emergency mental health support. Marissa offers a warm, safe and compassionate space where clients truly feel seen and supported. With care and collaboration ,she helps build skills that nurture emotional growth ,resilience and a deeper sense of well being .

Marissa's therapeutic approach is individualized, recognizing that each individuals needs, experiences, challenges, and strengths are unique. Drawing from evidence -based modalities such as Cognitive behavioral therapy(CBT), Strength based, and Family Systems through a trauma- informed lens. Marissa also has a spirited personality. It is one of her greatest strengths working with adolescents and young adults when fitting and rapport has been made in the therapeutic relationship . Marissa loves using gentle humor when appropriate and when it feels right . Overall , Marissa matches her clients and meets them where they are in their life journey. She focuses on helping her clients feel understood and supported by taking the time to truly listen and ask open ended questions to create a space for reflection and growth.
I work with adolescents and young adults who may feel stuck , overwhelmed by peer relationships , self esteem , consumed by anxiety or depression , and or family conflicts. I work with teen and young adults to help create a growth plan that is at their own pace whether that be celebrating accomplishments , processing hard things , sharing details they’ve never shared before and addressing everything in between.Im here for you , let’s start this journey together.
