I provide a safe place to explore and deal with difficult, ongoing, and often painful issues, using over twenty years of experience. I offer a simple and gentle approach that avoids re-traumatizing while working on understanding and discharging old traumas and stress. My trauma-informed, holistic approach includes somatic, emotional, and cognitive processing and integration. Healing is a double-sided process, working through healing the past while building and reinforcing your present sense of Self and interacting more successfully in your life. I am a trained Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and practice Psychotherapy with multiple adjunct therapies to integrate mind and body with Somatic Experiencing (SE) and other Evidence Based Therapies such as EMDR, Life Goals, Whole Health, Movement Therapy, and more.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The initial session is to introduce each other, for me to understand your needs and goals, and what is expected of both of us in this process. There are various forms to sign and review so that we both understand and agree to the therapeutic relationship and its boundaries and responsibilities. We can collaborate on what work you wish to accomplish and start to create a meaningful plan for our time together. There should be time to set up a schedule to meet and to begin to set an overview of what you can expect to address the next time we meet.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I enjoy helping people find a pathway that allows them to feel better, see themselves in a more positive light, and encourages personal growth. I believe in touching on issues in the smallest possible way, returning to the positive, and avoiding retraumatizing while working together through whatever emerges. I understand how complex trauma can impact our daily lives and affect our health, thoughts, mood, relationships, functioning, thinking and decision making. I support the unique journey of each person through providing a safe place to help unlock old patterns, gain understanding, and practice new tools to make different decisions as well as explore new options for work, family, and personal growth.
