First session
During the initial session, we discuss what has led you to seek services, gather history, and identify some goals that you would like to accomplish.
Strengths
Having worked with clients of all ages over the past 33 years, I have gained a lot of experience, and the ability to identify along with you, the root causes of your challenges, and help in the healing process.
Ideal clients
I specialize in working with women who are coping with anxiety and trauma. I utilize somatic techniques, CBT, and EMDR to help clients get to the root of the problem that impacts what is going on in their lives today. These techniques help those who feel stuck in anxiety, and overwhelm to reconnect with a sense of safety and calm. This promotes a deeper level of healing especially when incorporating somatic and expressive techniques.
Treatment methods
Somatic
In addition to talking about feelings, it is helpful to identify where you feel them in your body in order to promote a deeper processing of the feelings, and healing.
Attachment-based
Identifying early life experiences that may be contributing to current symptoms.
