Welcome to my practice. I am a seasoned therapist and have worked in many different settings over many years. All I ever wanted to do is help people have their best lives. I practiced social work with a Bachelors degree in prisons, community agencies for the disabled, a state hospital, a state facility for people with cognitive challenges, child and family welfare work and working with folks in community care homes. I also developed and led a community program for Guardians ad Litem in child abuse and neglect cases. Then I went back to school and earned my Masters in Social Work and then my therapy credentials after many hours of supervision. I truly enjoy listening and encouraging clients to embrace strategies for wellness and self-compassion using mindfulness and compassion and strength based materials. I am actively engaged in consult groups with other therapists focusing on trans and queer issues. For several years I taught at the graduate school level in South Carolina and then Utah, teaching social work students skills for working ethically and compassionately.

Hi, I'm Dr. Holly Siegrist, and I am a psychologist licensed in California with 16 years of experience. I take a strength-based approach, and I work with clients on spirituality and meaning making, creativity, dream analysis, relationship issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, stress related to disability and other discrimination, grief, chronic illness, losses, and life change. My interests are in social justice, coping with discrimination, health and wellness, and resilience. My therapy style is warm and welcoming. I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion, and providing a safe space to listen to clients. I have a Ph.D. in Psychology with Specialization in Existential, Humanistic, and Transpersonal Psychology from Saybrook University. I specialize in dream analysis and lucid dreaming therapy. What drew me to therapy was my interest in social justice work while I was attending the University of Washington, and did peer counseling with students. I have always been interested in helping people, I enjoy hearing people’s stories, and I also find that in the therapeutic process I learn more about myself. Through my therapy journey I have gained much experience in working with diverse people. In addition, during my time at Saybrook University, I received training in spiritual approaches in therapy, and dream analysis and lucid dreaming therapy. I'm glad you are moving towards living a more fulfilling and happier life. I am here to support you so you can empower yourself on your journey of transformation.

I started helping those who are seeking to up-level their experiences and shine as their true and authentic selves in 2019. My journey first started in residential treatment facilities where I held space for those in early recovery from substance use disorders. This population ranged from men's only, women's only and LGBTQ+ Many of these individuals also struggled with anxiety, depression, trauma and eating disorders. I have also had the opportunity to work with adolescents at risk of sex trafficking. This work is extremely rewarding as the clients are at an age where they are most influential and willing. I am a deeply spiritual person and practice in the study of yoga and meditation and participate in somatic healings such as Kundalini Light Intergration (KALI) and breathworks. I am also a level two Reiki practitioner (training to become a master) and a certified personal trainer. When I am not holding space for healing, I enjoy being in the outdoors, surfing, climbing, reading and cooking nutritious and fun to eat meals. I hope to continue the journey of providing a safe space for individuals where healing can occur for years to come. I offer sessions both early in the morning (5am - 7am) and later in the evening (6pm - 9pm) to accommodate those who work nine to five or those who just prefer early morning or evening therapy sessions.

You Know What You Should Do—So Why Are You Still Stuck? You’re so frustrated with yourself. You want to start a better habit, make that healthy choice, or finally do something good for yourself… but somehow, another day ends and nothing has changed. You numb out with TV, scrolling, or distractions—not because you’re lazy, but because you’re overwhelmed, unmotivated, and stuck in patterns that feel impossible to break. You keep asking, “What’s wrong with me?” You talk yourself up, try to rally motivation, even map out a plan—but when the moment comes, you shut down. Then the guilt kicks in. Again. You’re not broken—you’re just stuck. And that’s exactly where therapy comes in. I’m Tammy Brooks, LMFT, and I specialize in online anxiety therapy and habit change counseling for adults across California, Michigan, Missouri, and Texas. With Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, we won’t dwell on what’s not working—we’ll identify what is working and build momentum from there. My approach is action-oriented, personalized, and designed to get results. While other therapists may offer lower rates or more reviews, I offer focused expertise to help you move from self-blame to self-trust and fast. Instead of rehashing the past week after week, I ask thoughtful, goal-oriented questions that guide you toward the hopeful, confident version of yourself—the one who says, “I’ve got this,” even when life throws curveballs. We’ll work together to uncover your strengths, explore your dreams, and focus on small steps that create real progress. You may even surprise yourself by reconnecting with coping skills you forgot you had—or discovering new ones you’ve always been capable of trying. If you’re ready for a personalized, results-driven approach—not just a therapy “session,” but a space to rediscover your strength—book your appointment today—and take that first step toward a brighter, more manageable tomorrow.

Hello, I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist and earned my master’s and Ph.D. degrees from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University. I am a US Navy veteran and former police officer. I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and transplanted to San Diego due to my military service. Being bi-racial, I welcome the experiences of various walks of life. Those ten years of civil service taught me about the resilience and fragility of the human psyche, which sparked my passion for mental health as it applies to human behavior. I work with people who suffer from anger management, sexual aggression (CASOMB - California Sex Offender Management Board certified treatment provider), sex/pornography addiction, poor self-regulation/impulse control, anxiety, depression, history of trauma, antisocial, narcissistic, and psychopathic/sociopathic personalities, individuals with criminal histories, adult ADHD, difficulty with maintaining healthy relationships, and low self-esteem. I also enjoy working with veterans, law enforcement, and other first responders or professionals who are impacted by vicarious trauma and burnout. I am LGBTQIA-affirming and respect spiritual and religious values. Therapy requires hard work and courage. I’m honored to be part of your journey to healing and personal development. Sometimes it can be difficult to sort out all our feelings, especially when things are messy, confusing, and overwhelming. It is my belief that everyone can benefit from counseling to process the feelings that come with human experience. Gaining greater insight into yourself can help you carry out how you want to be in the world. I received my MA in Counseling from Saint Mary's College of California in Moraga, CA. My experience at Saint Mary's grounded my therapeutic focus in Client-Centered Therapy, while also providing me with other theories and modalities to draw from in my work. I use both a holistic and family systems lens while incorporating Existential and Mindfulness-Based viewpoints in my practice. For children and adult clients who are interested, I also use Play Therapy and Expressive Arts to get in touch with how we can connect with ourselves without using words.

I am a psychotherapist, a meditation teacher, and an amateur naturalist. In my home country, I am licensed to conduct learning disability evaluations. My growing up was first-hand impacted by 3 very different languages and cultures. These cultures informed the style of my relationships and my esthetic preferences. For as long as I can remember, I have been mystified by human memory functioning, first as a scientist, then as a meditator. Having gone a long way from trying to remember everything I deemed worth remembering to a more effortless and drama-free attitude toward memory-creating moments, I am still making sense of what it means to integrate each moment of life as it comes. Approaching this subject experientially and relationally informs who I am as a practitioner and as a person. If topics like cognitive functioning, memory styles and focus make your curiosity antennas hum, this is a place for you. My approach to psychotherapy is highly relational and somewhat didactic. I love to explain everything I see and say at every step of the process. With me, you will never experience a blank screen characteristic of traditional psychoanalytic approaches (from which I draw inspiration in the realm of dream interpretation and theory).

With over 25 years of experience working with people from all walks of life, I offer guidance to those feeling stuck, hopeless, or helpless. If you feel as if no matter how hard you try, your mind continues to bombard you with negative feedback, I can help you. Through a methodical approach to thought identification, you can learn to pinpoint the thoughts that trigger negative emotions and keep you trapped in a cycle of despair. My goal is to empower you to reclaim control over your mental state and find meaning in your life. Together, we will work towards a brighter and more fulfilling future. I can also teach you how to live a meaningful life based on your values and goals. If you are suffering from PTSD, I can help by providing you with the tools needed to challenge the thoughts that you may have developed as a result of your trauma. If your relationship is suffering due to PTSD symptoms, I can help you develop healthy coping mechanisms that can improve your relationship. I began my career working with undocumented single mothers in need of financial skills to support their families. From there I worked with the undocumented population helping them secure resources for their basic needs and empowering them to become self-sufficient. I also worked with the LGBTQIA+ community in three different roles: providing psychoeducation to newly HIV diagnosed individuals and their families, as a case manager providing resources for newly HIV diagnosed undocumented citizens, and finally, as a clinician providing individual therapy for those with depression, anxiety, or PTSD. Later in my career, I worked with the Forensic Juvenile Department providing in-home family therapy to families involved in the criminal justice system. I have also worked with individuals suffering from personality disorders. Currently, I provide individual and group therapy.

Merced, CA - Accepting clients in CA

Hello! I'm Gustavo Olvera and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT), serving clients via telehealth throughout the State of California. My long-time approach to therapy is to meet the client where they are and work with them to identify goals that will help them improve their quality of life. I believe that we all have the potential to succeed in life and the potential to achieve greatness. A healthy mind is key to success, as we often have to make critical decisions daily. I believe we can all achieve our desired goals by increasing and maintaining a positive outlook on our mental health. What attracted me to wanting to become a therapist was my true and honest desire to help others. Seeing how clients benefit from therapy, seeing how clients can truly overcome their mental illness, and seeing how clients can return to normal and healthy day-to-day living is what drives me to continue to do the work that I do. Today I invite you, to allow yourself to start your journey to a better tomorrow; I am inviting you to take a chance. Sadly we can't change what happened yesterday, nor do we know what will happen tomorrow, but we can hope for a better tomorrow by making positive decisions today.

Ventura, CA - Accepting clients in CA

Healing begins when you are honest with yourself about what’s not working. But getting raw and real can be difficult with people who know you– or think they do. Their view of you, expectations and agendas influence what you feel safe to share. This is where the magic of therapy comes in: it offers a space for an honest conversation between you and another human being–one where you can finally get real. We all need to feel felt—to be seen and understood. We yearn for a safe space where we can speak openly about what we’ve experienced and embrace all parts of ourselves. This kind of authentic connection helps us make sense of why we think, feel, and act the way we do–and to discover who we are beneath the stories and defenses. This is the key to real, lasting change. I bring 30+ years experience guiding people on their path. My approach is collaborative, although clients often say they are grateful to have a therapist who can be direct in service of their growth. A former yoga teacher and massage therapist, I focus on embodied healing. I’m also a published author and professional editor—and yes, I’ve been to Burning Man (several times). I have worked with all sorts of people—from Silicon Valley CEOs to moms who lost custody of their kids to addiction. I work with artists, athletes, dancers, writers, and hold a special place in my heart for geeks and those who’ve lost capacity after an accident or injury. I weave bio-hacking principles into therapy for those who want optimal vitality. It is possible to transform emotional pain into a deep sense of being at home in your own skin. There is a calm, wise essence within you that knows the way to healing. Let’s explore this together.

Search therapists by insurance

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by California rather than a city like LA?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across California from San Francisco to San Diego! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in California.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on Spirituality?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Spirituality, is filtering therapists in California that work with patients with similar concerns.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
