I am a therapist who is deeply committed to understanding the “why” behind my clients’ experiences. I work with individuals and couples who are navigating trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, racial stressors, self-esteem struggles, and the quiet weight of daily burdens that can leave a person feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves. In my work, I use intentional, reflective techniques that help clients reach deep within to uncover who they were before trauma, disappointment, and life’s obstacles began to shape their narrative. I believe healing begins when a person feels safe, secure, and genuinely cared for. From that place of safety, we are able to rediscover identity, restore confidence, and reconnect with purpose. I empower my clients to move beyond limiting beliefs that keep them small and instead step into the greatness they were always meant for. Much of the sorrow many of us carry stems from a longing to truly know ourselves, trust ourselves, and believe we are worthy. My role is to walk alongside each person with humility and curiosity, honoring their unique story while helping them strengthen their voice, build self-trust, and create meaningful change in their lives and relationships. Whether working with individuals seeking personal growth and life satisfaction, or couples striving to find their relationship voice and reconnect with one another, I strive to create a therapeutic space where healing is possible, resilience is nurtured, and transformation becomes sustainable.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session with me is not about pressure — it is about presence. You can expect a space that feels intentional, calm, and emotionally safe. Our first meeting is primarily about getting to know you — not just what is wrong, but who you are. I will invite you to share what brings you in, what feels heavy right now, and what you hope might be different in your life or relationships. I tend to approach first sessions with curiosity and compassion. I am interested in your “why.” I may ask reflective questions that help us begin gently exploring patterns, experiences, or beliefs that have shaped you. If trauma is part of your story, we will move at a pace that feels safe and regulated for you. Nothing is forced. You are always in control of how much you share. You can also expect collaboration. We will clarify your goals together — whether that is improving communication in your relationship, reducing anxiety, strengthening self-esteem, navigating a life transition, or simply feeling less stuck. I will begin identifying themes and offering initial insights, but the first session is more about laying a strong foundation than solving everything at once. If you are coming in as a couple, we will discuss your shared concerns and also ensure that both partners feel heard. I help couples begin noticing their interaction patterns early on — not to assign blame, but to increase understanding. Above all, you can expect to feel seen. My goal in the first session is to create enough safety and trust that you leave feeling hopeful — not overwhelmed — and clear about what our work together can look like moving forward. Therapy with me is a space where insight meets compassion, and where healing begins with feeling understood.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to hold depth without losing warmth. Clients often share that they feel both safe and thoughtfully challenged in our work together. I have a natural curiosity about the “why” behind patterns, pain, and protection — and I help clients gently explore those layers without shame or judgment. What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the integration of insight and regulation. I do not believe healing happens through insight alone. Because I am trauma-informed and mindfulness-oriented, I pay close attention to the nervous system. I help clients understand not just what they are feeling, but why their body and mind respond the way they do. This creates lasting change rather than temporary relief. Relational work is another strength. Whether I am working with couples or individuals, I am attentive to attachment patterns, communication dynamics, and the unspoken emotional needs underneath conflict. With couples, I help them find their “sweet spot” — where friendship, romance, individuality, and partnership can coexist. With individuals, I help them strengthen their internal relationship with themselves — increasing self-trust, self-esteem, and emotional clarity. I am also particularly skilled at working with high-achieving creatives, neurodivergent individuals, and women in transition. I understand the complexity of ambition, identity, culture, and purpose. My work supports clients in reducing anxiety, dismantling limiting beliefs, and stepping into a fuller expression of who they are — not who trauma or expectation told them to be. Ultimately, what stands out most is this: I do not see clients as problems to be fixed. I see them as whole people whose strategies once made sense. Together, we refine those strategies so they align with the life and relationships they truly want. My work is about helping clients feel safe enough to know themselves, strong enough to trust themselves, and empowered enough to live from that place.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve clients who are ready to grow — even if they are unsure where to begin. I especially enjoy working with couples who want to reconnect, recalibrate, and rediscover the “sweet spot” in their relationship. These are partners who desire both friendship and romance, depth and lightness, individuality and unity. Whether they are navigating conflict, communication breakdowns, betrayal, or simply feeling disconnected, I help couples strengthen their emotional bond, refine their relationship voice, and create a balance that feels authentic and sustainable. I am also well-suited for individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, or chronic stress and are ready to move from survival mode into intentional living. Using trauma-informed approaches and mindfulness-based interventions, I support clients in regulating their nervous systems, reducing anxiety, and rebuilding a sense of safety within themselves and their relationships. Creatives, artists, entrepreneurs, and performers often find resonance in my work. I incorporate performance-enhancement modalities to help them manage pressure, perfectionism, self-doubt, and visibility fears while protecting their mental and emotional wellness. I understand the intersection between creativity and vulnerability, and I help clients harness both as strengths. I work particularly well with neurodivergent individuals who are learning to better understand how their minds work. Together, we focus on self-acceptance, executive functioning tools, emotional regulation, and embracing the beauty of their difference — while navigating the real-world challenges that may accompany it. Finally, I am deeply aligned with women who feel stuck, restless, or in transition. Whether navigating career shifts, relationship changes, identity evolution, or rediscovering purpose, I help women clarify their gifts, challenge limiting beliefs, and step confidently into the next level that life is offering them. The clients who benefit most from my work are those who are reflective, open to insight, and willing to do the deeper work of understanding themselves. They may not have all the answers yet — but they are ready to find them.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

As a certified Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) practitioner, I help clients develop psychological flexibility — the ability to stay present, open, and engaged in life even when thoughts, emotions, or memories are difficult.

Christian Counseling

As a Christian counselor, I create a space where faith and mental health can work together. I thoughtfully integrate biblical principles with evidence-based therapy, helping clients explore their emotional healing while staying rooted in their relationship with God. I honor each person’s spiritual journey and support them in finding strength, clarity, and restoration through both sound clinical care and Christ-centered guidance.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my work, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that influence emotions and behaviors. Together, we examine how beliefs shape reactions and develop practical strategies to create healthier thinking and more effective coping skills. CBT allows clients to build awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, and make intentional changes that support long-term growth.

Couples Counseling

In couples counseling, I help partners move from conflict and disconnection toward deeper understanding and secure attachment. I focus on identifying unhelpful patterns, improving communication, and addressing underlying emotional needs that drive recurring cycles. My approach creates a safe space where both partners feel heard, supported, and empowered to rebuild trust, strengthen intimacy, and grow together with intention.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I practice therapy through a culturally sensitive and culturally humble lens, recognizing that each client’s lived experience is shaped by culture, identity, community, and systemic realities. I approach every therapeutic relationship with openness, curiosity, and respect, understanding that I am always learning from the client’s story. My goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, affirmed, and understood within the full context of who they are.
