LMFT, 9 years of experience
Hello! I have been a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in the state of California since November 2017. I worked with children and youth from 2015-2023 in a community-based clinic. From December 2023 to August 2025, I worked with adults struggling with substance abuse who are part of a treatment court program. In August of 2025, I transitioned to private practice where I am primarily serving individuals and couples struggling with relationship issues/life transitions.
During our first session together, we will go over mandatory legal disclosures and get to know a little bit about what brings you into therapy. This will be a great time to know whether we are a good fit for one another and if so, we will be setting up our next appointment together.
I am hopeful and compassionate. I believe people grow in safe environments where they are able to be completely honest and receive honest feedback in return. When my clients get brutally honest with themselves in session, it allows me to point out their strengths, but also, areas of potential growth.
If you are: -having relationship issues -having a difficult time dating -struggling with people-pleasing -going through a break-up -seeking pre-marital counseling -going through a life transition We might be a good fit! *Couples/pre-marital counseling is CASH PAY ONLY
Many times we can be our hardest critique and need a reminder of our own strengths and potential. As I get to know my clients and their strengths, I am able to remind them of what they have to bring to the table. At the end of the day, my clients are the experts of their own lives. I value and respect the knowledge and wisdom each client brings to the therapeutic alliance.
I use CBT to help clients develop a deeper understanding of how their thoughts affect their feelings and behavior. Teaching clients to recognize their own maladaptive thinking and learn healthy ways to challenge their negative thinking is an extremely powerful life skill.
My theoretical lens is highly influenced by attachment theory. I believe our early childhood attachment styles affect us into adulthood. Learning to recognize our underlying needs and being able to express them effectively can help strengthen our relationships and bring healing to our inner child.
I use techniques supportive by research to help couples strengthen their friendship, improve their conflict resolution skills, and create shared live meaning.
