I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing mental/behavioral health issues impacting children and adults such as: career/school stressors, depression, anxiety, relational issues, parenting, family systems, medical challenges, healthy lifestyles, etc. I worked for 14 years as a therapist and program manager at the central outpatient psychiatry clinic at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego which is ranked as one of the top 10 children's hospitals in the United States by U.S. News and World report. I have helped provide behavioral health services for over 10,000 children, adults and families throughout San Diego County. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that something isn't OK right now. That something might be new, or it might have been around a long time. You might be able to describe it perfectly, or you might just feel off without knowing why. Either way — you're here, and that's the only thing that matters right now. I start from wherever you are. No assumptions, no judgments, no one-size-fits-all approach. Just a genuine desire to understand you — what's brought you here, what you're carrying, and what you're hoping for. Therapy with me — whether you're coming alone or with a partner — tends to be honest and occasionally even a little lighthearted. The human experience isn't black and white, and neither is the work we'll do together. What stays consistent is that you'll have a space that belongs to you, where nothing you say or feel changes how I show up for you. For couples, that space belongs to both of you equally. I don't take sides. What I do is help you see the pattern you're both caught in — because most of the time it's the cycle doing the damage, not each other. When that shifts, something else becomes possible. No matter what it is you are navigating — depression, relationships, identity, or the gap between how you show up and how you actually feel inside — you don't have to have it figured out to reach out.

I offer a space where your pain can soften, your story can unfold gently, and you can be met with warmth and compassion without judgment. I draw from CBT, TF-CBT, MI, mindfulness, and person-centered, holistic practices — not as rigid techniques, but as tools we weave into the moments when you need grounding, clarity, or a way to steady yourself. Over time, your voice gets stronger. Your patterns make more sense. And the parts of you that learned to survive begin to feel safe enough to soften.

I am Dr. Audrey Levy. I live on a boat, and my private practice hours are available 24/7 by appointment only. I also make house calls. I am experienced in helping my clients deal with issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Stress Reduction, Loss and Grief Recovery, Substance Abuse, Anger Management and Crisis Counseling. I provide a calm, empathetic, and nurturing environment where you will feel heard, and most importantly, understood. Together we will work on ways to help you understand your feelings and compulsions. My grieving clients experience closure through writing letters to their loved ones who have died. This letter writing is effective for all forms of loss. Reading the letters aloud is very healing as it encourages acceptance, and permits moving on to build a life filled with love and laughter. As a Doctor of Psychology and psychotherapist for 45+ years, I've dealt with my own grief and loss by writing the nonfiction book, "Doggie Wisdom for Humans: Advice from Dogs for Humans of All Ages," and an autobiographical fiction series, "The Adventures of the Angel Oleo." I hope you have an opportunity to read my books and that I get to help you.

Hi there, I’m Michelle, Have you not felt like yourself lately? Are you struggling to find that happy, healthy, hopeful place in life? Whether it be from relationships, personal, or just life, sometimes we can just feel overwhelmed and out of sync with who we were or who we would like to become. I am here to help facilitate that change. Together we can target the obstacles in your life and make a plan of action to put you on the right path. By using an integrative approach with effective therapeutic modalities we focus on the whole being to get you in balance. My style is eclectic utilizing an empathetic position to build rapport while empowering you to become the stronger happier version of self. I combine affirmations and metaphoric narrative to separate you from the problem, allowing you to externalize the issues rather than internalize them. I will meet you right where you are and provide a safe place for you to thrive and move forward. “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” ~Martin Luther King Jr.

Maybe you’ve done a lot of thinking about yourself or your relationships, but still find yourself falling into the same patterns, or feeling stuck in places you can’t quite explain. Maybe you’re tired of overthinking, second-guessing yourself, or trying to hold everything together on your own. I work with individuals and couples who want to understand themselves more deeply, heal what’s keeping them stuck, and feel more connected to themselves and the people they love. My approach is warm, relational, and rooted in attachment. I believe therapy isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong” with you. It’s about getting curious about the patterns you’ve developed, understanding why certain things feel so difficult, and making sense of the experiences that shaped you. Together, we’ll explore what’s underneath the ways you think, feel, and relate to others, so you can move through your life with more clarity, self-trust, and freedom.

I’m a therapist who believes you can be professional without being stiff and therapeutic and losing the human connection. I’m warm, conversational, engaged, and genuinely curious about the people I work with. You won’t find me sitting silently and nodding for an entire session. I’m going to talk with you, ask questions, offer feedback, challenge you when needed, and help you look at things from perspectives you may not have considered before. I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable enough to be yourself. Bring your humor, your quirks, your frustration, your tears, your cussing and fussing. All of you is welcome in the room. You don’t need to perform, impress me, or speak in “therapy language.” I’m compassionate, but I’m also big on accountability. I won’t judge you, but I also won’t always tell you what you want to hear. Sometimes growth means recognizing our own patterns, taking ownership of the things we can change, and having uncomfortable conversations. I’ll support you through that process while also respecting that you are the expert on your own life. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and tailored to the person sitting in front of me. I want us to understand not only what you’re experiencing, but also how your relationships, culture, identity, experiences, values, and environment have shaped you. Most of all, I want therapy with me to feel human. We can do serious, meaningful work without every moment feeling heavy. We may laugh. We may have hard conversations. There may be moments of insight and moments when we have to sit with something uncomfortable. Through all of it, you can expect me to show up authentically, engage with you, and create a space where you can do the same.

Hi there, I'm Dr. Evelyn Vasquez. I currently ONLY offer in-person, private pay therapy with people who work under extraordinary occupational pressure, including first responders, veterans, medical providers, elite athletes, and other high-performing professionals who are under extreme pressure to help others. If you've been carrying the weight of your work, struggling with trauma, navigating performance anxiety, or feeling the strain in your relationships, I'm here to help. I also work with family members of the individuals mentioned above. I meet you where you are. I understand that therapy might feel uncomfortable or even risky in your world. My approach is about helping explore who you are, changing what you don't like, and giving you tools that actually work within the realities of your life. Whether you're working rotating shifts, managing a packed competition schedule, juggling court dates, or dealing with the unpredictability of emergency services, we will together to build your capacity to perform at your highest level. I bring some relevant background to our work together. As a former collegiate athlete, I've experienced performance pressure myself. My Master's in Homeland Security and experience in security and emergency management have given me insight into organizational cultures and operational realities. While I don't claim to know exactly what you've been through, I've worked extensively with people in your field, and I will learn about your specific experience from you. I specialize in evidence-based trauma treatments (PE, CPT, and EMDR) that have strong track records for resolving PTSD. I integrate performance psychology and resilience skills so you can move forward stronger. I also work with couples and families, because the demands of your career affect the people you care about most.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship challenges, life transitions, and patterns that can leave them feeling stuck or disconnected. My style is warm, down-to-earth, compassionate, and collaborative. I listen deeply without judgment while also offering honest reflection, insight, and practical tools to help you create meaningful change. Many people come to therapy believing something is wrong with them. I approach things differently. I believe our emotional struggles, coping strategies, and relationship patterns often make much more sense when we understand the experiences that shaped them. Rather than simply focusing on symptoms, I help clients become curious about what is happening beneath the surface, why certain patterns developed, how they may have helped you cope or protect yourself, and whether they are still serving you today. Therapy with me is a place where you can show up as you are. You don’t need to have everything figured out, know exactly what to say, or pretend that everything is okay. Together, we’ll work toward greater self-understanding, reconnecting with your strengths, developing healthier ways of coping and relating, and creating changes that feel meaningful and sustainable in your life.

I believe therapy should be a place where you can come as you are and feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. As a first-generation Asian American and Christian therapist, I understand how faith, culture, family expectations, relationships, and life experiences can shape who we are and how we see ourselves. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and over 13 years of experience working with children and families. My approach is warm, genuine, compassionate, and down-to-earth, thoughtfully integrating evidence-based therapy with faith and spirituality when desired. I have a special heart for supporting young adults, couples, families, parents, and older adults navigating life transitions, relationships, family conflict, motherhood and postpartum adjustment, parenting, grief and loss, self-esteem, cultural pressures, and personal growth. I believe healing often begins by renewing the way we see ourselves, our circumstances, and what is possible for our future. Our hardest seasons do not have to define us; they can become part of a story of growth, healing, and transformation. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you move toward renewed hope and meaningful change.

I provide a warm and genuine atmosphere and understand that “one size does not fit all." I'll do my best to meet you where you are and really get to know you and your specific concerns. I treat the whole person to maximize growth. Do you feel like your 'fight-or-flight' response is stuck on high? I specialize in helping clients understand the unique wiring of ADHD, depressed, and anxious brains. By exploring the science of why you feel so restless, unmotivated, or overwhelmed, we can separate your worth from your symptoms. My goal is to help you stop fighting your brain and start working with it, using evidence-based techniques that actually click for your unique mind. Therapy shouldn't be another place where you have to perform. In our sessions, fidgeting is encouraged, eye contact is optional, and your unique way of processing the world is celebrated, not 'fixed.' I provide a warm, non-judgmental space for adults with ADHD and anxiety to unmask and find balance. Together, we’ll focus on your strengths to help you navigate a world that wasn't exactly built for minds like yours. Hi there! My name is Michael. I have my master's in clinical psychology, focusing on marriage and family therapy LMFT. I did my internship at Glendale Adventist Hospital, dual diagnosis program. I have extensive experience with Individuals experiencing relationship issues, anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem issues, OCD, trauma, couples therapy, and life transitions. I look forward to hearing your story with compassion and empathy; you'll feel seen and understood. I take many CE units (I joined an unlimited program), read work related books just for fun, and truly enjoy my work and private life. I'm grateful for everything! Outside the office I have two adult children, a new granddaughter, love to water ski, play drums, race cars, and fix things around the house. The last one is a love hate relationship. Ha ha.

I think of therapy as part detective work, part puzzle: laying out the pieces of a life and tracing the threads between things that never seemed connected until you see them side by side. I believe a good clinician is a moldable one, someone who adapts to the person in front of them rather than fitting people into a fixed approach. My work is collaborative, insight-oriented, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on yourself. Together, we explore the patterns, stories, and relational blueprints that shaped how you see yourself and the world, and we work to rewrite the ones that no longer serve you. I work with individuals and couples across the lifespan, and I am proudly affirming of the LGBTQIA+, kink, and BDSM communities. I specialize in trauma, identity, depression, anxiety, relationships, and sexual health, and I bring the same nonjudgmental, culturally humble approach to every client I see. I also offer faith-integrated counseling for those who wish to bring spirituality into their healing. Whether you arrive ready to dive in or full of resistance, I'll meet you where you are. I am bilingual and bicultural, and I welcome clients who move between both languages and worlds.

Hi, I’m Tammy Andrade-De La Isla, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. I’m here to offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, valued, and empowered. I believe that therapy should feel like a collaborative process, one where we work together to explore your experiences, identify your strengths, and support your personal growth. I earned my degree from Humboldt State University, where I dedicated my studies to exploring decolonizing mental health practices. This perspective continues to influence how I approach my work with clients, always taking into account the larger context, including cultural, historical, and systemic factors that may impact your well-being. I have a strong passion for working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities, and I strive to bring a strength-based, affirming approach to everything I do. I genuinely believe in the resilience of the human spirit and feel privileged to support people as they navigate life’s challenges, work through trauma, and move toward a more connected and empowered version of themselves. Whether you're exploring your identity, experiencing a life transition, or simply looking for someone who will truly listen, I am here to support you.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in California. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across California from San Francisco to San Diego! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in California.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Couples Counseling, is filtering therapists in California that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
