I support adults, teens, couples, and families. I utilizes several theory based therapies that include, but are not limited to cognitive behavioral, narrative, solution focused, and emotionally focused. I have a direct, but compassionate style that allows her clients to explore and develop their relationship with others as well as themselves. I help to keep my client's focused on their therapeutic goals.
The first session is often a mix of getting to know one another, discussing logistics, policies, and procedures that will structure the therapy sessions, as well as completing assessments that will give us a baseline of where we are starting from, and establishing your therapeutic goals. I require at least 24 hours notice of cancellation or you will be charged the full cash session fee.
I believe that my focus on helping you achieve your therapeutic goals and being a good listener are my greatest strengths as a therapist. I try to keep my clients on track & focused with how we can improve how they are feeling about themselves and the quality of their lives.
As a therapist, I understand that working through emotions as an individual or in a relationship can be difficult. Whether I am working with an individual, couple, or family my job is to guide and support my clients and allow them to discover, excavate & process their feelings while dealing with anxiety, low self-esteem, or adjusting to life's various issues. Self awareness is an incredible skill that I enjoy helping clients develop as they engage in the most important relationship - the one they have with themselves. I have a direct, non-judgemental style that incorporates several treatment strategies and interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered, Solution Focused and Emotionally Focused Therapy. The therapist/client relationship is one of the most important components of successful therapy. She is authentic and always tells me how it is. She calls me on my bullshit and I know she does it from a place of care and concern and I appreciate that a lot. Having a safe space to just be and grow is so important.

Dawn made me feel beyond comfortable. I felt like everything I said was heard, which has been an issue with past experiences. Highly recommended.....she's awesome!!
