Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I earned my master’s degree from UC Berkeley and have been practicing for 10 years. I specialize in helping individuals and families who have faced challenging experiences and are struggling with anxiety, depression, or PTSD. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you can build effective coping skills, find relief from stress, and regain a sense of control over your life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After brief introductions, I will answer any questions you may have about the forms you signed before the session. From there, I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy at this time, along with your main concerns and goals. Together, we will develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs. I will also explain the therapeutic interventions I use and how they can support you in reaching your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

With extensive training in trauma-informed care, I understand the importance of creating a safe, predictable space where you feel empowered. I provide practical coping strategies to help you manage distressing thoughts and emotions, allowing you to regain a sense of control in your life. As a trilingual clinician (Portuguese, Spanish, and English) and a member of a multicultural family with three children, I deeply value cultural awareness in therapy. I tailor my approach to honor your unique background, experiences, and values—ensuring a therapy experience that feels personal and meaningful.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am passionate about supporting people who have endured trauma—whether from loss, violence, or accidents—who believe in the possibility of reclaiming a meaningful life. Using mind-body interventions, I guide my clients in learning to trust themselves and their bodies. Over time, they gain the ability to assert personal boundaries and prioritize their well-being.

My treatment methods

Somatic

I am trained in Somatic Experiencing, a body-centered approach that helps regulate the nervous system and process overwhelming emotions caused by trauma, including shock and early attachment wounds.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness techniques that empower you to manage symptoms beyond therapy. These practical tools help ground you in the present moment, reducing stress and easing worries about the past or future.
