Hey there! My name is Jaclyn and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I earned my Masters degree from University of Phoenix and have been practicing for 6 years. Through various forms of therapy, I provide a relaxed and non-judgmental environment for clients to explore their concerns. I empower clients to guide the direction of each session, tailoring it to their needs and providing them with the necessary tools for progress. I often draw on my supportive and empathetic nature to reassure clients that they can use their therapy sessions for growth and healing.
At the start of your therapeutic journey, we will begin by introducing ourselves and addressing what it is you hope to achieve through therapy. We will review intake paperwork leading us to engage in a conversation to create goals for ongoing session that best support your growth and healing. During this time, we will have the opportunity to see if my style of therapy meets your needs. If not, I can provide referrals to other therapists that best support your needs.
I believe my greatest strength as a provider is creating an environment for you to feel relaxed, supported, and comfortable to be yourself. My approach will, in hopes, help you as the client feel empowered to make a difference by taking charge in your own life.
I enjoy working with clients who are eager to gain a deeper understanding of themselves. I am particularly focused on those who are committed to personal growth, seeking to explore their inner world and make meaningful changes to enhance their well-being and achieve their goals. I appreciate working with individuals who approach self-reflection with curiosity and a willingness to engage in the therapeutic process authentically.
My preferred approach is humanistic therapy. This method allows me to assist my clients enhance self-awareness and attain personal growth. By utilizing this supportive and empathetic therapeutic style, I am able to help guide my clients to achieve their personal goals.
I use somatic therapy approach to help clients tune into their mind and body connection. We explore breathwork, mindful movement, and visualization to connect emotions stored in the body. This process allows clients to access stored emotions, promoting healing and personal growth.
I use cognitive behavioral therapy to work with clients on changing negative thought patterns and behaviors, helping them develop healthier thinking and emotional regulation for a more fulfilling life.
I use mindfulness-based therapy to help clients develop present-moment awareness, manage stress, and enhance emotional regulation to help with daily tasks.
Using psychodynamic therapy, I guide clients to explore past experiences that have shaped negative thought and behavioral patterns, helping clients gain insight into how these experiences influence their current behaviors and relationships.
